Diana Shipping Bags Charter for Capesize Dry Bulk Vessel

Dry bulk shipping company Diana Shipping has secured a charter contract for its m/v Boston Capesize dry bulk vessel.The charter is with C Transport Maritime Ltd., Bermuda, with the gross charter rate set at US$25,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until a minimum of April 15, 2022, up to a maximum of June 15, 2022.The charter is expected to start on June 15, 2021. The m/v Boston is currently chartered, as previously announced, to Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. Diana Fixes Sideris GS with Oldendorff

Diana Shipping announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG, Lübeck, Germany, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Sideris GS.According to a press release from the global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, the gross charter rate is US$12,700 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum October 15, 2020 up to maximum December 31, 2020. Diana Shipping Announces T/C Contracts

Diana Shipping Inc. has announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG, Lübeck, Germany, for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Electra. The gross charter rate is US$10,250 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum eleven (11) months to maximum thirteen (13) months. The charter commenced earlier today.The “Electra” is a 87,150 dwt Post-Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2013.The company also announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Phaethon International Company AG, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Protefs.

Lydia Oldendorff Sets Record

The largest German bulk carrier company Oldendorff Carriers GmbH, which operates around 700 ships, said that its Lydia Oldendorff (207,562 tdw built 2015) has set a record as the largest vessel to load coal at Puerto Bolivar, Colombia.The Newcastlemax vessel has a length of 300 meters and a breadth of 50 meters and was loaded on a trial cargo draft of 17.5 meters. The cargo loaded is destined for Flushing, in the port of Antwerp in Belgium, where it will again be the largest vessel to enter the port.Oldendorff Carriers currently operates a fleet of about 65 modern eco-Newcastlemax (203-211,000 tdw) vessels. Castor Maritime Buys Korean Built Panamax

Castor Maritime, a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry-bulk vessels, announced that through one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, took delivery of the M/V Magic Sun, a 2001 Korean built Panamax dry bulk carrier, from an unaffiliated seller.The Cyprus-based company said in a press release that the vessel is expected to commence its initial charter with Oldendorff Carriers GMBH & Co KG on or around September 7, 2019.The Magic Sun Initial Charter was fixed at a daily hire rate of $12,000 and has an expected term of minimum eight months up to maximum 12 months. Castor Maritime Fixes Magic P with Oldendorff

The international shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry-bulk vessels Castor Maritime announced that, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Oldendorff Carriers GMBH & Co KG Luebeck for its Panamax vessel Magic P.The owners of a dry bulk vessels said in a press release that the gross charter rate is US$ 11,250 per day, for a period of a minimum of five months up to a maximum of about eight months (for the first 30 days period the daily gross rate is US$ 9,000). The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) has appointed three new members to its Management Board and one new member to the IBIA in Africa Board. The appointments were announced at the Association’s 23th annual dinner, which was held on February 8 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. Heralding the beginning of International Petroleum week, the prestigious event attracted a record number of attendees, with over 1100 bunker industry professionals at the dinner, despite the gloomy state of the industry.

The Port of Vancouver USA welcomed the M/V Jobst Oldendorff, commanded by Capt. Baisie of Ghana, on her maiden voyage October 16. Capt. Baisie and his 21-member multinational crew were welcomed to Vancouver by Oldendorff Port Captain Russell D’Souza , Chris Cummins and Sandra Avila of Pacific North West Ship & Cargo Services, Noa Lidstone and Ken McLaughlin of Kinder Morgan Bulk Terminals, David Nagel and Shawn Robinson of SGS North America Inc., and Mike Schiller and Steve Mickelson of the Port of Vancouver.

Diana Shipping Charters Bulk Vessel to RWE

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, has announced that it has entered into a time charter contract with RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, Essen, Germany, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v JK Pioneer, to be renamed P. Diana Shipping Purchases Capesize Dry Bulk Vessel

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership and operation of dry bulk vessels, announced that yesterday it signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a Memorandum of Agreement to purchase from an unaffiliated third party the m/v JK Pioneer, a 2013 built Capesize dry bulk vessel of 179,134 dwt, for a price of $52,000,000. The vessel, to be renamed P. S. Palios, is expected to be delivered to the buyer in mid-November 2013. The vessel is currently chartered to Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG, Luebeck, Germany, at a gross charter rate of $11,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. Based on the existing charterparty, the charterer has the option to redeliver the vessel at any time before, but not later than March 30, 2014.

Deltamarin Wins Ship Design Order

The latest additions are for a series of three firm ships plus options of B.Delta37 design as open hatch general cargo ship, which will be built at the Chinese CSC Jinling Shipyard. This will bring the number of firm B.Delta37 newbuilding orders to 21 units and the total number of newbuilding orders of different types of B.Delta designs to 38 for various shipowners. These about 38,300 tdw general cargo carriers have been ordered by the German shipowner Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. The design is an amended version of the standard B.Delta37 design into an open hatch configuration. It features 40 tons SWL electro-hydraulic cranes, ice class 1C and is fully logsfitted. Cargo capacity 48,500 cu. Deadweight 38,300 metric tons at 10.5 m scantling draught.

GOC Announces Charter Agreement

Global Oceanic Carriers Limited announced that it has entered into a time charter agreement with Oldendorff Carriers GMBH & CO KG for the M/V Go Pride for a minimum period of 35 days at the gross rate of $44,000 or $45,000 per day and a ballast bonus of $375,000 or $400,000 depending on port of discharge. The charter is expected to commence on or about 26 June 2008.  The M/V Go Pride is a handysize bulk carrier built in 1982 with a carrying capacity of 35,055 dwt.
