Wagenborg awarded Barge Master a contract for a second 3D motion compensated crane for its new walk-to-work vessel Kasteelborg. The first motion compensated crane on the Kroonborg has increased the workability from approximately 180 to 330 days per year. “The crane works quite happily in three meter seas,” said Haije Stigter, former program manager at ONEgas/Shell, notes - adding that it “works like a dream.”The Barge Master Crane, as configured for the Kroonborg, makes it possible to continue safe and stable crane operations even in the North Sea’s famously rough conditions.

Recently Imtech signed a new global partnership agreement for 350 vessels operated by an international ship operator in Hong Kong, which granted Imtech a preferred service vendor status. As a result, Imtech passed the 5,000 mark for ships under various types of contract and partnership agreements. In addition, the company renewed its existing contract for the maintenance of technical infrastructure on all NAM drilling rigs in the North Sea. Safety specialist Survival Craft Inspectorate wins multimillion-pound Shell contract. Aberdeen-based marine safety specialist Survival Craft Inspectorate has secured a multimillion pound contract to supply and service life-saving equipment in Shell’s Southern North Sea sector.
