NOIA Appoints New Executives
The National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) has appointed and approved the 2024-2025 term of the NOIA Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Jon Landes, President, Subsea of TechnipFMC has been elected as the NOIA Chair and Joe Leimkuhler, Chief Operating Officer of Beacon Offshore Energy, as the incoming NOIA Vice Chair.NOIA President Erik Milito said, “We are at a critical juncture where it's imperative to ensure that energy policy from Washington, D.C. does not hinder American energy production.
Danos Wraps Coastal Restoration Work for Shell in Louisiana
In late 2021, Danos completed four coastal restoration projects in south Louisiana on behalf of Shell Pipeline Company. The work will provide shoreline protection through a combination of customized 3D printed modules, nicknamed “Cajun Coral,” and advanced satellite image monitoring with partner Natrx, Inc. The project designs and installation procedures were tailored to local site conditions in order to enhance biodiversity and shoreline stability.“Louisiana’s coast is vital to our industry and our environment,” said Paul Danos, CEO of Danos.
NOIA Elects Tim Duncan as Chairman, Paul Danos as Vice Chairman
The National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) board of directors has elected Tim Duncan, president & CEO of Talos Energy, as chairman and Paul Danos, owner, president and CEO of Danos, as vice chairman for the 2021-22 term. Duncan and Danos were confirmed in their positions during a virtual NOIA Board of Directors meeting on April 14.NOIA president Erik Milito said, “The offshore energy industry continuously lifts society in so many ways. Danos Adds Environmental Services
Danos recently added an Environmental Services Division to the company’s collection of oilfield related services, which includes production workforce, construction, fabrication, coatings, instrumentation and electrical, and shorebase and logistics. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway in Larose, La., the Environmental Services Division provides full-service environmental cleaning – from spill kits to tank cleaning and small releases to large magnitude spills.
