Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal – License Application

The U.S. Coast Guard and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued a Notice stating that they have received an application for licensing of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) deepwater port terminal from Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal LLC. The proposal calls for construction and operation of a LNG deepwater port in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 41 miles off the coast of Louisiana. Any public hearing must be held not later than March 18, 2005 and a decision on the application must be made within 90 days of the last public meeting. 69 Fed. Reg. 43618 Source: HK Law

Pearl Crossing LNG terminal – environmental statement

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) as part of the environmental review of the license application for the proposed Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal deepwater port, to be located approximately 41 miles southeast of Cameron, Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. Public meetings will be held in Lake Charles (August 30), Orange (August 31), Lake Jackson (September 1), and Port Aransas (September 2). Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal – Enviro Statement

The U.S. Coast Guard and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued a Notice stating that the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) for the proposed Pearl Crossing LNG Terminal is available for review. The proposal calls for construction of the terminal in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 41 miles south of Cameron, Louisiana. Public meetings will be held in Sulphur, Louisiana (May 3); Johnsons Bayou, Louisiana (May 4); and Portland, Texas (May 5). Written comments should be submitted by June 7. 70 Fed. Reg. 20762 (HK Law)
