ALMACO Helps Refurb Crystal Serenity

ALMACO Group recently delievered 36 new luxurious Seabreeze Penthouses and two new spacious Seabreeze Penthouse Suites to Crystal Cruises’ ocean-going vessel Crystal Serenity. The project, which was part of an extensive redesign of the ship, started during the drydock at Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremehaven, Germany, in mid-October and the suites were delivered on November 10, 2018, in Lisbon, Portugal, from where the ship sailed towards Fort Lauderdale, Fla.ALMACO’s scope of work…

Refit River Cruiser Sets Sail for Crystal

The newly renovated vessel Mozart, which began passenger service in July 2016, marks Crystal Cruises’ first venture into European river cruising. Before for the revitalized river cruiser Mozart set sail, Crystal Cruises contracted R&M Sea Level Marine to completely renovate all the vessel’s cabins, suites and the reception lobby. The refit took place from April 24 to July 6 in Linz, Austria. Designed by II BY IV Design of Toronto, renovations included completely redesigned accommodations with all new bathrooms and complete renewal of all furniture and finishes.

Seven Seas Explorer Spaciously Intimate

The cruise ship being billed as "the most luxurious ship ever built" will also feature some of the largest cabins  and balconies afloat. The suites on the Seven Seas Explorer, a cruise ship coming next summer, will be distinguished by some of the largest balconies at sea said Jason Montague, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Through August 2015, the 750-passenger vessel, which debuts in July 2016, is about halfway through the construction process. Montague hosted a preview of two of the most prevalent suite models here at the Fincantieri ship yard where the Explorer is being built. Two categories of cabins are the 332-square-foot Concierge Suite, which is one of the more affordable options, and the 450-square-foot Penthouse Suite.

SEA LEVEL MARINE Wraps Up Busy Year

Miami-based SEA LEVEL MARINE, full-service marine outfitting contractor, celebrates completion of the renovation of Britto Art Gallery, Cupcake Cupboard, Nursery, and Vintages Wine Bar aboard the Liberty of the Seas (January 2011) and Freedom of the Seas (March 2011). The project was completed in seven days during dry-dock in Freeport, Grand Bahama. For these renovations, the SEA LEVEL team led an experienced crew of more than 75 craftsmen and technicians in transforming these spaces to duplicate new venues introduced on the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.

Sea Level Marine Completes Cruise Ship Renovations

Miami-based outfitting contractor Sea Level Marine announced its recent successful completion of a dry-dock refit of Crystal Cruises’ Serenity on May 21, 2011 at Meyer Werft yard in Hamburg, Germany. The scope of the 14-day project was an interior renovation of all passenger accommodations on the vessel including 436 Standard staterooms, 72 Penthouses, and 33 Penthouse Suites. QEII Again Stirs Repair Interests

Interest in the European cruise ship repair market is currently focused on which shipyard will win the $31.3 million contract to repair the 1968-built, 70,327-grt cruiseship Queen Elizabeth II, owned by Cunard Line. There are currently three shipyards shortlisted for the work — Bremerhaven’s Lloyd Werft, Hamburg’s Blohm + Voss Repair and the U.K.’s A&P Southampton. The contract is expected to be awarded soon, with the drydocking dates scheduled for between November 12 and December 11.
