TMC to Equip FPSO Newbuild

Oslo based compressor supplier TMC Compressors said it has won a contract to supply the marine compressed air system for a new floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) currently being built in China for Dutch firm SBM Offshore. TMC was contracted by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (SWS) to provide a compressed air system consisting of 4 x 400 kW service air compressors with associated air dryers and filters to the shipbuilder’s yard in Shanghai. The contract value is undisclosed. “There seems to be a recovery under way in floating production market. Encouragingly, TMC’s marine compressors are increasingly being selected for major FPSO developments,” said Per Kjellin, managing director of TMC Compressors.

TMC Compressors said it has secured a contract from Samsung Heavy Industries to deliver a marine compressed air system to a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) the South Korean shipyard is building for Höegh LNG. TMC Compressors for FRSU Newbuild

International compressor supplier TMC Compressors (TMC) said it has been awarded a contract by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DMSE) to supply a marine compressed air system to a newbuild floating storage and regasification unit (FRSU). TMC’s scope of work includes engineering, manufacturing and supply of a complete compressed air system for the FRSU, which is being built by DSME for BW LNG. VLCC Compressor System Contracts to TMC

International compressor supplier TMC Compressors (TMC) has been awarded a contract to supply complete marine compressed air systems for two very large crude carriers (VLCC) currently being built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea. DSME is currently constructing the two VLCCs for Singapore-based BW Tankers, a subsidiary of the BW Group. Both VLCCs will be 318,000 dwt and are scheduled to be delivered in 2018. Under the contract, TMC will supply a control air compressor system and a service air compressor system to each of the two vessels.
