Seapeak Completes Evergas Acquisition

Canadian headquartered shipowner Seapeak on Thursday announced it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Danish shipping company Evergas from France-based Jaccar Holdings.Evergas, previously comprising Greenship Gas Trust and Greenship Gas Manager, is one of the world’s leading seaborne transporters of petrochemical gases and natural gas liquids (NGL).The cash deal, worth approximately $700 million, was announced in October and will see Evergas rebrand and operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seapeak. Ocean Yield Buys Ethylene Gas Carrier

Norwegian shipowner Ocean Yield ASA has agreed to acquire Navigator Aurora, a 37,300 cbm ethylene gas carrier owned by Navigator Gas.According to agreement, the ship will be purchased for a total consideration of USD 69.75 million net of a seller’s credit, with a 13-year bareboat charter to a company 100% owned and guaranteed by Navigator Holdings - Navigator Gas.The vessel is expected to be delivered to the Company during October 2019. Navigator Gas has certain options to acquire the vessel during the charter period. The transaction is subject to final documentation.The vessel, Navigator Aurora, is a 37,300 cbm ethylene gas carrier that was built in 2016.

Marlink ITLink for J. Lauritzen Gas Carriers

Anthony Veder Adds LNG/LEG Pair to Fleet

Netherlands-based operator of gas tankers in the segments of gas shipping Anthony Veder has taken delivery of two 10,000-cbm combined gas carriers, which can transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) and petrochemical gases including ethylene (LEG).With this transaction Anthony Veder expands its fleet to 33 vessels and reinforces its leading position in small scale LNG. With eight small scale LNG vessels the company continues their strategy to support  the potential for LNG as a marine fuel and in the distribution of LNG for power supply. Eletson, Evergas Form Shipping Alliance

Eletson Gas and Evergas announced an alliance of the two companies that will trade the companies’ semi-ref/ethylene capable vessels. The new venture, to be called the E3 Pool, will commence trading on the 30th of January from the Eletson offices in Piraeus and London and the Evergas offices in Copenhagen and Singapore. The new commercial venture will control the 15-strong fleet of modern gas carriers that are currently trading. It will be joined by a further four vessels to be delivered to Eletson over the next twelve months and will create a single point of contact for cargo owners. LNG Vessel with Wartsila Integrated Solutions Delivered to Evergas

The first in a series of 27,500 cbm 'Dragon' class vessels ordered by Evergas, a world renowned owner and operator of seaborne petrochemical and liquid gas transport vessels, is being delivered from the Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (SOE) shipyard in China today. The vessel features a comprehensive Wärtsilä solutions package, including two Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel engines, Wärtsilä propulsion equipment including the gearbox, two Wärtsilä 20DF auxiliary generating sets, a Wärtsilä LNG fuel system and a Wärtsilä cargo handling system. The various systems are fully integrated to achieve maximum efficiencies. The order with Wärtsilä was placed in the beginning of 2013.

Evergas & INEOS Expand Dragon Vessel Series

Evergas has reached an agreement with INEOS to expand its new-building series of ethane/multigas vessels from six to eight units. In January 2013, Evergas announced for the first time that it had secured shipping agreements of up to 15 years with INEOS for the worlds’ first transatlantic shipments of ethane with commencement in 2015. The fleet of eight vessels will bring US ethane from shale gas to INEOS’ manufacturing sites in Grangemouth, Scotland and Rafnes, Norway. This advantageously priced feedstock will have a highly positive impact for the company’s European operations that so far have relied on declining and expensive volumes from the North Sea. Furthermore it will support the company’s longevity of being a leading and cost-efficient petrochemical producer.

Wärtsilä Receives Repeat Order from Evergas

Three new 27,000 cbm LNG/Multigas Carriers for Evergas, the Denmark based transporter of petrochemical gases and natural gas liquids, are to be built featuring the integrated Wärtsilä solution, comprising the main propulsion equipment, the gas fuel supply system, and the cargo handling system. This order is an extension of the one placed in 2013 for a series of three similar vessels. The ships are being built by the Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (SOE) shipyard in China, and feature an advanced design that offers very high efficiency and unparalleled flexibility.

The integrated Wärtsilä solution, comprising the main propulsion equipment, the gas fuel supply system, and the cargo handling system, has been ordered for 3 new state-of-the-art 27,000 cbm LNG/Multigas Carriers for Evergas, the Denmark based transporter of petrochemical gases and natural gas liquids. Wärtsilä explain that this order is an extension of the one placed in 2013 for a series of three similar vessels. The ships are being built by the Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (SOE) shipyard in China, and feature an advanced design that offers very high efficiency and unparalleled flexibility. For each vessel Wärtsilä will supply two Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel main engines, two Wärtsilä 20DF auxiliary gensets, the gearbox, and the controllable pitch propeller.

Babcock’s LGE Process Enhances Dorian/Seacor LPG Vessels

Drewry Shipping Consultants released its latest report, “Annual LPG Market Review and Forecast 2004/05”. Drewry’s main findings make extremely positive reading for ship owners as they are finally experiencing a period of stability and growth. Having experienced dramatic booms and busts since the turn of the century, Drewry’s report highlights how the various market segments are now performing. The new annual review and forecast specifically identifies that small LPG carriers have enjoyed a very good start to 2004 with spot rates for LPG cargoes in Europe rising to their highest level since 1995. Drewry’s report forecasts that prospects for this sector now look better than they have done for many years.
