BAM Bags 2nd JV Contract in Canada

JGC-Fluor joint venture has awarded BJM the contract for the construction of the LNG Canada MOF, a material offloading facility to support the realization of a LNG export facility in Kitimat on the west coast of Canada, British Columbia (approximately 600 km north-west of Vancouver).BJM is a joint venture between BAM International (the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe), JJM Construction (Canada) and Manson Construction (USA).The project is part of the overall LNG Canada project.

Petronas Completes 3rd LNG Break Bulking STS Transfer

Petronas LNG Ltd (PLL), a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas),  has completed its second liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo through its break bulking ship-to-ship (STS) transfer  to two buyers.The LNG break-bulking STS transfer took place in Brunei Bay, Sabah, Malaysia. EMGS Increases Fleet Utilization

Norwegian geophysical services company Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) said in its fleet update for the third quarter 2019 showed a fleet utilization of 73 percent,  compared with 29% for the third quarter in 2018. The marine EM market player said that its  vessels were allocated 73% to proprietary work and no time was spent on multi-client projects, in the third quarter of 2019.In the comparable quarter of 2018, the vessels were allocated 29% to multi-client projects and no time was spent on proprietary work.EMGS had two vessels on charter and recorded 6.0 vessel months in the quarter.

IPC Begins Drilling Program in Malaysia

Chinese Buyers Leave US LNG

Chinese buyers have avoided US LNG projects even before the tariffs hiked to 25%, said a report by  Rystad Energy.Despite the Chinese tariffs, there is still appetite for US LNG from other countries. Seadrill Contract Backlog Reaches $1.9bln

The deepwater drilling contractor Seadrill said that its contract backlog, as of May 23, 2019, totaled approximately $1.9 billion.The drilling services provider said it has added $130 million of additional backlog from March, including the AOD I award of a three year follow on contract with Saudi Aramco keeping the unit employed until June 2022, which adds approximately $82 million in backlog.In addition, Equinor exercised two options for the West Hercules in Norway adding approximately $17 million in backlog.
