Ocean Geo-Frontier Tallies Survey Contract

Court Dismisses Claim against Armada Seismic Invest II

The Supreme Court has dismissed claims of EUR 9 mln (USD 10.51 mln) from Norway's PGS Geophysical (UK) Limited against Armada Seismic Invest II AS in connection with the delivery of 3D seismic vessel Polar Duchess, said a press release from GC Rieber Shipping ASA. The Norwegian shipping company that operates offshore subsea support vessels said in a stock exchange annoucement: "Reference is made to the stock exchange announcement 29 May 2018, where it was announced that PGS had appealed Gulating Court of Appeal`s decision in PGS claim of approx. "The dispute has now been adjudicated by the Supreme Court`s appeals committee, which has rendered its decision. The Supreme Court's appeal committee ruled in favor of Armada and the claim against Armada has been dismissed," it added.

Wärtsilä, PGS ink Service Deal

Wärtsilä and PGS Geophysical AS have signed a service agreement that makes Wärtsilä the preferred service supplier for engines and other Wärtsilä equipment. According to the agreement, Wärtsilä will take care of the maintenance of engines and propulsion systems on board PGS's fleet of 8 seismic vessels, securing maximum uptime as well as safe and economic operations. PGS's seismic vessels are used for mapping and analysing the subsurface beneath the ocean floor for oil and gas exploration around the world. The 3-year-agreement was signed in December 2016 and it includes an option for two extra years. In the first phase of the contract Wärtsilä will optimise the operations and maintenance of the Wärtsilä engines and propulsion systems installed on board PGS's vessels.

StatoilHydro Awards Seismic Contracts

The contracts, covering surveys on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, the Faroes and , has been awarded to PGS Geophysical, CGG Veritas and Wavefield Inseis. The award to PGS Geophysical also includes use of new technology for three dimentional surveys. This technology makes the seismic operations less dependent on benign weather and improves the production of seismic data. Telenor Signs PGS Geophysical for 2 Years

Telenor Satellite Services announced that PGS Geophysical of Norway has renewed its global satellite communications agreement with Telenor through June 2005. Telenor first began providing communications via satellite to PGS in 1995. The current agreement calls for Telenor to continue to provide its fully-managed Sealink service to a PGS Geophysical fleet of 14 high tech 3D seismic vessels operating around the world. PGS Geophysical acquires, processes, markets, and sells high quality seismic data worldwide. Firms Ink PetroVietnam Deal

Following the signing of a product-sharing contract (PSC), Pearl Oil Ltd (Singapore), Serica Energy Group (Canada), and Lundin New Ventures B.V (Holland) will explore for oil and gas in the 4,100 sq.km Block 06-94. The three parties each hold a one-third interest. Pearl will be the contract operator and inject $49.3m in analyzing 2-D and 3-D seismic data and conducting exploratory drilling in the first three years. Block 06-94 is located immediately south of the Lan Tay and Lan Do gas fields, which are being developed by the UK’s BP, India’s ONGC Videsh, and PetroVietnam. In 2004 PetroVietnam and the UK’s PGS Geophysical inked a cooperation agreement that granted PGS exclusive rights to acquire a multi-client 3D (MC3D) seismic survey over the block to identify and map reservoir sands.
