Wärtsilä Voyage acquired PortLink Global, a global port solutions company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Saab's KleinPort Contracted for Curacao Ports Authority

Defence and security company Saab has been awarded a contract from the Curacao Ports Authority to install the latest version of Saab’s KleinPort for the Authority’s new Harbor Management System. Curacao Ports will be using KleinPort to manage its multi-harbor operations. System functionality includes the scheduling of vessel traffic and services, the dispatch of pilots and tugs, the recording of cargo data, full tariff billing and provision of comprehensive management reporting. “Curacao Ports required a new harbor management system that also met the needs of its tug subsidiary, KTK.

Belfast Harbour Goes Live With KleinPort

Saab has commissioned its first Port Management Information System in the UK. As of September 1st, 2015, Belfast Harbour Commission commenced live operations with its KleinPort system. The Harbour is using KleinPort to manage and track its vessel operations and services, record cargo data, generate billing and execute data analysis and reporting. The Transas PMIS comprises a set of robust web-enabled applications to automate the full range of vessel and cargo operations and related business processes including vessel calls management, chartering, allocation of cargo handling equipment, invoicing and detailed management/statistical reporting. The PMIS is fully integrated with VTMS software to provide extensive functionality for managing and monitoring vessel movement within a port.
