Montague named Prestige Cruise President, COO

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (Nasdaq:NCLH) announced today that Jason Montague has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. effective today, following the resignation of Kunal S. Kamlani. Montague was instrumental in launching Oceania Cruises in 2002 and is widely regarded as one of the original co-founders of the company. "As we continue to refine the future organization, Jason stands out as a leader who is knowledgeable about the brands and is so passionate about them," said Kevin Sheehan, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Frank Del Rio noted that Montague had played a key part in creating the great brands that have been built at Prestige.

MTN Extends Prestige Cruise SatCom Partnership

MTN Communications (MTN) says it has extended the companies' 12-year relationship and will be introducing new communications services to its three-ship Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet and five-ship Oceania Cruises operation. MTN explains that it delivers a complete communications solution including MTN Worldwide TV (MTN TV), Internet and voice services for passengers and crew, including the maritime-specific voice app for calling and messaging onboard and ship-to-shore. Prestige pioneered the launch of this app – MTN OceanPhone Mobile – onboard several of its vessels. OceanPhone Mobile leverages vessel Wi-Fi infrastructure and the reliable MTN network so crew can call and message with family and friends using their own smartphones and tablets.

ABB to Maintain Prestige Cruise Fleet Turbochargers

ABB announced that it has signed a five-year maintenance agreement with Prestige Cruise Holdings (PCH) to provide services, parts and support for all turbochargers installed on its fleet of eight cruise ships. The contract provides global access to maintenance services for the turbochargers to ensure their continued safe and reliable operation. Prestige Cruise Holdings is the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, which serve the upper-premium and luxury segments of the cruise industry with over 6,400 berths.

Repeat Order from Prestige Cruise for Wärtsilä

Two vessels have been added to the five-year maintenance agreement that was signed between Wärtsilä, the marine industry’s leading solutions and services provider, and US-based Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. (Prestige), the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The agreement now covers eight vessels with a total of 35 Wärtsilä engines. The tailor-made agreement that was signed in 2012 with Prestige is one of the most comprehensive yet for the cruise industry. The depth and scope of the agreement covers pro-active planning by both companies working in co-operation. It also involves dedicated teams from both parties, which will work closely together to ensure maximized lifetime, reduced operational costs and optimal performance of the Prestige fleet.

Wärtsilä says that two vessels have been added to the 5-year maintenance agreement between them and US-based Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. (the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises). The agreement now covers 8 vessels with a total of 35 Wärtsilä engines. According to Wärtsilä the tailor-made agreement that was signed in 2012 with Prestige is one of the most comprehensive yet for the cruise industry. Fincantieri to Build New Regent Seven Seas Cruise Ship

The new ship will be named 'Seven Seas Explorer' and is to be built in Sestri Ponente (Genoa) shipyard with delivery scheduled for summer 2016. The contract for the 54,000 gross tonnes and 223 metres in length cruise ship with accommodation for 738 passengers,  is worth approximately USD 450-million, say the shipbuilders. "This new ship order represents an exciting time of growth for our company as we build the next generation of cruise ships for the world's most inclusive luxury cruise line," said Frank J. Del Rio, Prestige Cruise Holdings Chairman and CEO.

Wärtsilä Interim Report January – March 2012

"The year has started rather well with order intake increasing by 13%. Our profitability was 10.1% and we are well on track to reach our targets for this year. Our net sales development was in line with our overall expectation of rather low Power Plants and Ship Power deliveries during the first quarter. Services' net sales grew by 12% with the increase coming from both parts and field services. During the first quarter, we signed a service agreement with US-based Prestige Cruise Holdings, as well as an operations & management agreement with Energética Suape II SA in Brazil for the largest power plant ever delivered by Wärtsilä. These contracts signify our commitment to deliver lifecycle value to our customers.

The long-term service agreement covers six vessels, a total of 27 Wärtsilä engines, and has the option to include further vessels in the future. The agreement facilitates the projection of costs associated with the maintenance of Prestige’s cruise fleet, while also minimizing the downtime during routine maintenance and overhauls.

Wärtsilä has signed a five-year service agreement with U.S.-based Prestige Cruise Holdings Inc. (Prestige), the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The long-term service agreement covers six vessels, a total of 27 Wärtsilä engines, and has the option to include further vessels in the future. The agreement facilitates the projection of costs associated with the maintenance of Prestige's cruise fleet, while also minimizing the downtime during routine maintenance and overhauls. The agreement provides a broad scope of services, including maintenance planning, spare parts supply, training, technical surveys, condition monitoring, and workshop services.

SpecTec USA: New Contract with Prestige Cruise Holdings

The 2010 good influence keeps on giving positive results for SpecTec Business in 2011 with a significant order that came in late December. The important news came from SpecTec USA, which has recently closed a contract for a large consulting project with Prestige Cruise Holdings, a parent company for both the upper-premium Oceania Cruises and ultra-luxury Regent Seven Seas Cruise brand. SpecTec continues the relationship with Oceania Cruise and Regent Seven Seas Cruise.
