Solstad Offshore Wins PSV Contract from Allseas

Swiss-based offshore contractor has hired two platform supply vessels (PSVs) from Norwegian offshore shipping company Solstad Offshore.Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company said in a press release that Allseas contracts are for two PSVs, “Normand Naley” (2011, VS 485) and “Sea Supra” (2014, PX105), for pipe-haul duties.Both contracts are for 70 days firm plus options with commencement first half of December 2018, said the release.Solstad have a modern and competitive fleet consisting of 141 vessels. Allseas owns and operates a state-of-the-art fleet of specialised heavy-lift, pipelay and subsea installation vessels designed and built in-house.

Standardized Modules Facilitate Quick Vessel Conversion

High costs in converting existing vessels can efficiently put an end to updating a fleet. But with standardized, predefined modules, a vessel can be mobilized for other types of work within a few days without intervening in the ship structure. And when the mission is completed, the module can easily be demounted. “To a shipowner considering a tender, the vigorous costs of having to convert their existing tonnage can set a stop to their project. Oceana Yard’s First Newbuild Delivered

The new Oceana shipyard in Itajai, Brazil has delivered its first newbuild, a platform supply vessel of the PX105 design from Ulstein Group. The vessel was delivered to shipowner Oceana Offshore on March 30, 2016, and on April 1, the vessel started on a six-year chart for Petrobras. CBO Orders PSV Design from ULSTEIN

Brazilian shipowner CBO has placed an order with ULSTEIN for a PX105 type platform supply vessel (PSV) design and equipment package. The deal encompasses design and an extended main equipment package, including the system solutions ULSTEIN IAS integrated automation system, ULSTEIN COM communication system and ULSTEIN BRIDGE complete integrated radio and navigation equipment. The vessel is designed to comply with the Brazilian state oil company Petrobras 4500 tender, and will be built at Aliança shipyard in Rio de Janeiro scheduled for delivery in Q3 2016.

12th ULSTEIN PSV Delivered to Deep Sea Supply

Zhejiang Shipbuilding in Ningbo, China, delivered Sea Swift, the final of 12 platform supply vessels (PSVs) of the large PX105 design to shipowner Deep Sea Supply PLC on October 23, 2014. The Deep Sea Supply vessels are 88.9 meters long and 19 meters in the beam. The vessels have diesel electric propulsion and can keep up a speed of 15.5 knots. The loading deck area is in excess of 1,000 square meters and the vessels each have a dead weight of 4,700 metric tons. The X-BOW hull line design eliminates slamming from head sea, increases comfort and safety and reduces fuel consumption.

Deep Sea Supply Announces Multiple Contract Awards

Deep Sea Supply is pleased to announce multiple contract awards with an international major subsea contractor for a total duration of approximately 1000 vessel days. The three PSVs of PX105 design "Sea Spider", "Sea Springer" and "Sea Spark" have been awarded contracts for ten, ten and four months, respectively. The AHTS "Sea Lynx" has been awarded a contract to be performed in two phases; first phase 40 days and second phase 250 days. Commencement is expected to be November 2014 for the three PSVs and phase 1 for "Sea Lynx" and May 2015 for phase 2 for "Sea Lynx". In addition to the firm periods described, the contracts also contain option periods.

Tenth Ulstein Designed PSV for Seatankers

‘Sea Surfer’, the 10th of twelve platform supply vessels designed by Ulstein for Seatankers/Deep Sea Supply, was delivered from Zhejiang, China, on 18 July 2014. All twelve vessels carry the PX105 design. The vessels are 88.9 metres long and 19 metres in the beam and equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system. The cargo deck area is approximately 1,000 m2 and the vessels each have a dead weight of 4,500 tonnes. The deliveries from Ulstein also include an extensive equipment package, all power distribution and electric propulsion systems, bridge and communication systems.

Seatankers Takes PSV Delivery

On January 27, 2014, three weeks after the last delivery in the Seatankers twelve series, Zhejiang delivered the seventh platform supply ship, Sea Spider, to the Seatankers Group. All twelve PSVs are designed by Ulstein. Sinopacific’s Zhejiang yard in Ningbo, China, entered into a contract with Ulstein for the delivery of twelve design packages for platform support vessels of the PX105 design for Seatankers Group. The first delivery was in Q1 2013. The PX105 designed vessels are considered as large PSVs.

Oceana Selects Ulstein’s PSV Designs

The Brazilian shipowning company Oceana Offshore will be building two platform supply vessels (PSV) with an option for two additional vessels based on the PX105 design from Ulstein. The vessels will be built at the new yard, Oceana Shipyard in Itajai, Brazil and are scheduled for delivery in April and May 2016, respectively. The vessels for Oceana are purposed for work in the Brazilian oil industry. The PX105 design is a large platform supply vessel with accommodation for 23 people. The vessels will be 88.9 meters long and 19 meters wide.

Seatankers Receives Third Ulstein-designed PSV

The third Ulstein designed platform supply vessel of the PX105 design for Seatankers, Sea Forth, was delivered on August 16, 2013 from the Zhejiang yard in Ningbo. Ulstein delivers twelve design and equipment packages to the Chinese yard, where all the vessels for Seatankers Group will be constructed. The packages include design, engineering and equipment supplies. The ships comply with the DNV requirements of the Clean or Clean Design standards. The ship is designed with the patented X-BOW hull line design.

China Shipyard Delivers PSV to Bourbon Offshore

Ulstein-designed PX105 Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) delivered. The PSV Bourbon Calm has been delivered to Bourbon from China's Zhejiang Shipyard, the third in a series of four such vessels built to Ulstein's PX105 design for Bourbon Offshore. Ulstein Delivers in Brazil

The Ulstein designed platform supply vessel ‘CBO Pacifico’ left the Estaleiro Alianca yard on 10 May 2012. The newbuild went straight into contract for Petrobras. Naming Ceremony for Bourbon Front

This Tuesday, Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., an affiliate to Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group, held the delivery and naming ceremony for global lead vessel PX105, a ship built for Bourbon Offshore Norway. The company leaders and the ship owner’s representatives attended this grand ceremony, where PX105 was named the BOURBON FRONT. As an offshore support vessel designed by Ulstein, PX105 features an overall length of 88.8M, breadth of 19M, depth of 8M, DWT of 4400T, and maximum speed of 15.5 knots.

More Contracts For Ulstein In Brazil

Ulstein Design & Solutions has signed two ship design contracts with the Brazilian Shipyard Alianca S.A for the building of two ULSTEIN PX105 platform supply vessels with the X-BOW® hull line design for the Brazilian shipowner CBO. The contracts are worth approximately NOK 150 million. Launch Of First Px106 In Brazil

The first of two platform supply vessels (PSVs) of the PX106 type design was successfully launched from Alianca shipyard in Brazil mid-April. The vessel is the first of four X-BOW® vessels for offshore shipowner CBO to be built at Alianca. After the launch, the superstructure was lifted onto the vessel and assembled in a smooth and problem-free operation. CBO (Compania Brasileira de Offshore) ordered two PX106 and two PX105 designs from ULSTEIN at the end of 2009. The contracts include delivery of design, engineering, main equipment and building follow-up.

DELIVERY YARD NUMBER 288 ‘REM HRIST’

Yard number 288 from Ulstein Verft, the platform supply vessel ’Rem Hrist’, was delivered to Remøy Shipping at 3 March 2011. Rem Hrist’ is Remøy Shipping´s first vessel from Ulstein Verft. Her sister vessel, ’Rem Mist’, yard number 289, is under construction and will be delivered later this spring. The vessel is a large PSV, and is equipped with multi cargo tanks for dry media and liquids. There is a 360 degree view from the bridge, due to the exhaust system. The exhaust is led through the ship side, and escapes at the water surface instead of going through the wheelhouse roof.

2010 and the Rise of Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group

Six Ship Design Contracts for Ulstein in Brazil

Ulstein Design has signed six ship design contracts with Brazilian shipowners CBO and DSND Consub totalling over $69.2m. The contracts are for the delivery of design, engineering, main equipment and building follow-up, and cover three different types of vessels. DSND Consub has ordered two oil spill recovery vessels (OSRV) of the Ulstein P801 model with a conventional bow, while CBO ordered two larger and two smaller platform supply vessels (Ulstein PX105 and Ulstein PX106 types, respectively) with the Ulstein X-Bow.
