Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS) announced its IWS Fleet subsidiary has taken delivery of the new commissioning service operations vessel (CSOV) IWS Skywalker from shipbuilder China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. (CMI).After transit to Europe, the vessel will commence the first out of three charter contracts at the world's largest offshore wind farm—Dogger Bank, in the U.S.—in the first quarter of 2024.The purpose-built IWS Skywalker is the first of a series of six identical sister vessels, with the remaining five vessels scheduled for delivery in 2024 and 2025.

Liberty Lines Extends Hybrid Ferry Order to 12

Xeneta says Long-term Container Shipping Rates to Rise Again

It’s been another bumper month for long-term contracted ocean freight rates, as the cost of securing container shipments climbed by 10.1% in June. Fleet Rejuvenation: Euronav Sells Its Oldest Vessel

Belgian oil tanker operator Euronav said Monday it had sold the Suezmax tanker Filikon, built-in 2002, for $16.3 million. It did not say who the buyer was.Euronav said that a capital gain on the sale of the 149,989 dwt tanker was around USD 9.3 million. The vessel was delivered to its new owners on June 4, 2021"Euronav considers regular fleet rejuvenation an important function of vessel management in providing quality services to our clients. Euronav Offloads Suezmax Finesse

Crude oil tanker company Euronav said that it has disposed one of its oldest Suezmax vessels, the 2003-built Finesse.The international shipping enterprise which focuses on oil transport by sea informed that it sold the 2003-built, 149,994 dwt for USD 21.8 million.A capital gain on the sale of approximately USD 8.3 million will be recorded during the current quarter.
