After a longstanding relationship SRH Marine Group and Radio Holland Group signed a Global Strategic Service Partnership on November 30th, in Piraeus at the office of SRH. Under this agreement, Radio Holland will provide Global On Demand Services and technical assistance to SRH customers for Navigation and Communication equipment.
BlueStar Acquires RH Offshore Activities

Radio Holland, Lars Thrane Team
Radio Holland Group and Lars Thrane A/S concluded a global distribution agreement for the LT-3100 Iridium system. As a ‘kick-off’, mid-March Peter Thrane (CEO & Co-founder) and Thomas Flinth (Sales Manager) visited the Rotterdam office of Radio Holland Netherlands for a sales presentation, a commercial and a technical training. The global agreement enables every Radio Holland office in the world to distribute the LT-3100 Iridium system as well as perform after-sales service and maintenance.
RH Taps Bannerman to Head Americas
Effective April 1, 2018, Radio Holland Group appointed Philip Bannerman as Regional Director Americas. Bannerman will be based at the RH regional head office in Houston and will be responsible for all offices and activities of Radio Holland in the Americas region, being USA, Canada, Curaçao, Panama, Brazil and Trinidad & Tobago. Philip Bannerman is a senior business development executive with 20 years in the international maritime, cruise and energy industries. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Glasgow University.
Marlink Acquires Radio Holland's Connectivity Business
Marlink and Radio Holland have concluded a partnership agreement whereby Marlink has acquired Radio Holland’s connectivity business. According to the partners, the deal strengthens Marlink’s position in maritime VSAT, while Radio Holland will be the preferred global sales and service partner offering Marlink’s satcom connectivity portfolio in combination with its maritime electronics solutions. Furthermore, Radio Holland and the Marlink Group, including Telemar, will intensify their existing cooperation in NavCom sales and servicing.

Post Appointed COO of Radio Holland
Maarten Post has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the General Management Team of the Radio Holland Group. He is responsible for the management of the global operations of the Radio Holland Group and further building the global service network. Within RH Marine Group over the past years, Post has had several managerial positions, among others Managing Director of Elkon (Turkey) and Imtech Marine Canada. Inmarsat Signs Service Deal with Radio Holland
Inmarsat, a provider of global mobile satellite communications services, has signed a service and installation agreement with Radio Holland to support strong customer demand for rapid migration from Ku-based XpressLink to Fleet Xpress services. Radio Holland, Cisco Partner to Spur Maritime Digitization
Radio Holland Group has signed a strategic agreement with American ICT company Cisco. The aim of the cooperation is to help accelerate digitization in the maritime sector by developing and offering maritime ICT solutions such as remote monitoring and diagnostics services, data management and networks on board. Radio Holland Turns 100
Radio Holland Group (Rotterdam) celebrated its 100th anniversary in the maritime shipping industry. The event took place on board of the historical ship ss Rotterdam, in the port of Rotterdam where Radio Holland also has its headquarters. Paul Smulders, CEO of Radio Holland, welcomed the Mayor of Rotterdam, Ing. A. Aboutaleb and presented the Mayor with the first edition of the book ‘A century Radio Holland, 1916-2016’. Imtech Marine Targets Doubling Revenue

Radio Holland Port Elizabeth, South Africa Office
Radio Holland Group announced the official opening of a new service office in Port Elizabeth. The new office will start on January 4 2010 and the official, celebratory opening will take place in February. This will be the 63rd office in the Radio Holland Global Network and the sixth office in South Africa. Radio Holland in Port Elizabeth will provide sales and service of marine electronics in the Eastern Cape. The Port Elizabeth receives over 1,600 vessel arrivals per year including Container, Bulk, Tanker, Vehicle Carrier, and RoRo vessels. There is a very strong yacht and fishing presence in the area as well. The new office will allow Radio Holland to better service a vast network of customers by an increased ability to respond rapidly and efficiently to both urgent and routine requests.
Seacoast is Now Radio Holland USA
Radio Holland Group announced that as of Jan. 15 2009, the business of Seacoast Electronics and Radio Holland USA was fully merged into a single company. Seacoast became part of the Radio Holland Group organization in 2007. Since then, the cooperation between Radio Holland USA and Seacoast has become intensive, synergies have been identified and applied, and now the time has come to fully team up and become one organization. Seacoast Electronics has begun trading as Radio Holland USA from the Jacksonville and Tampa offices, which now also carry the Radio Holland name. As a result the Seacoast name will cease to exist. New Radio Holland Location in UK
Imtech Marine Group and Radio Holland Group announced that a new Radio Holland service location in the southern part of the United Kingdom has been established. The office of Imtech Marine & Offshore in the UK will perform service activities for navigation and communication equipment, trading as Radio Holland. Imtech Marine & Offshore UK will, with direct support from Radio Holland, perform service activities from their service station in the Southampton area. The service area is the United Kingdom including Ireland. Predominantly the office will focus on deep sea and coastal shipping, both on board UK ships as well as serving international shipping visiting UK ports.
Radio Holland Testing ASP LRIT for Dutch
Radio Holland Netherlands BV has been appointed by the Dutch Transport and Water Management Inspectorate (Inspectie Verkeer en Waterstaat), as Testing ASP for Dutch, Dutch Antilles and Aruban flag vessels, per November 1 2008. The first successful LRIT (Long Range Tracking & Identification) test resulted in the issue of the first “Statement of Conformity/LRIT Test Conformance Report” for the Dutch vessel ms. Alexandergracht of Spliethoff’s Bevrachtingskantoor in Amsterdam. Since then Radio Holland performed more than 150 LRIT Conformance Tests. A Testing ASP (Application Service Provider) is appointed by the national flag Administration, and is licensed to issue the official LRIT documents, after performing a successful LRIT test.

Radio Holland Group has opened a new office in Malaysia on February 26. It is the 49th branch office in the worldwide organization of the Radio Holland Group. The official opening of the Malaysian office took place at the Tanjung Puteri Golf Resort, Pasir Gudang, Johor. Present as a guest of honor was Dato’ Mohd Taufik Abdullah, Chairman of the Port of Tanjung Pelepas and Executive Chairman of Johor Port. He performed the official opening together with Mr. Group. Approximately 100 guests from Malaysia and Singapore attended the event. Radio Holland Malaysia is Radio Holland’s response to the increasing marine activities in Malaysia and specifically in the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, which had another record-breaking year in 2003 with an annual throughput of almost 3.5 million TEU.

Radio Holland Group Becomes Independent
Radio Holland (Rotterdam) announced that the MBO of the SRH Marine Group has succeeded. Zenitel (Brussels) and the RheinMetall Group (Dusseldorf), both 50 percent shareholders in EMG EuroMarine Electronics GmbH (Hamburg), agreed to separate from SRH Marine and the final agreement to this effect was signed. The operation took place through an MBO by the management of SRH, financed by ABN AMRO Capital (The Netherlands). Consequently, SRH Marine has now become independent and will take the new name, 'Radio Holland Group' with headquarters in Rotterdam. The closing of the deal is subject to final approval of antitrust committees in the Netherlands, Belgium and USA.
Radio Holland Group Buys Majority of S+L Marine
Radio Holland Group announced that it increased its share in the company S+L Marine, with branches in Hamburg and Rostock. This means Radio Holland Group is now major shareholder (80 percent) in the company. To make clear that the company is truly a part of the Radio Holland Group, it was decided to change the name into Radio Holland Germany. Henk Aardse, former manager of Radio Holland Delfzijl (Netherlands), has been appointed as General Manager and Michael Slachcinski as Deputy General Manager of Radio Holland Germany.
Mayor of Rotterdam Visits Radio Holland Group
The Mayor of Rotterdam, Opstelten, visited the Radio Holland Group on July 18 in honor of the company's 90-year anniversary. Radio Holland Groupâ€™s headquarters are located in Rotterdam but the company has 53 offices world wide, along all major shipping routes. Since May 2006, Radio Holland Group is part of Imtech N.V., renowned international technical service provider in the field of information & communication technology and electrical & mechanical engineering. Radio Holland Goes Broadband
Radio Holland has developed a new VSAT package: hardware, airtime and leasing all in one box. The standard package provides internet access, voice lines and three bandwidth levels and fulfills the needs of most customers. The package is called Connector by Radio Holland and this service is available at all Radio Holland branches around the world. Through Radio Holland's worldwide network of branches along the shipping routes, support is guaranteed. MV Alucia Reconstructed for New Use
The MV Alucia has undergone reconstruction and retrofit for future use as a research and upscale adventure vessel. Alucia was built at the Auroux Shipyard in southern France as a heavy lift ship and launch/recovery platform for diving and submersible operations. She functioned as principle support ship and launch recovery platform for the Nautalie from 1984-2004, one of the world’s only submersibles capable of diving 6,000 meters (19,690 feet). Acquired in June 2004 by DeepOcean Quest Expeditions, the MV Alucia (183 ft) has undergone a major retrofit and completed the requirements for a 5-year Bureau Veritas Certification survey. Radio Holland USA Opens RH Long Beach Branch Operation
Radio Holland USA Inc. has appointed William Thompson as the branch Manager of the Long Beach, Calif., office. Historically, the Long Beach office has been a service center supporting the Radio Holland Group brand for the past 23 years. As Branch Manager for the West Coast territory branch operation, Bill will be instrumental in our growth which includes not only service for our global customer base but also equipment sales and service, fleet management via Fixed Price Maintenance Contracts, VSAT / INMARSAT equipment and Airtime sales and service, as well as S-VDR sales and service. Thompson comes to Radio Holland USA with a management background including positions as General Manager of a national maritime retailer, regulatory compliance consultant and security and safety director.
