Saga Orders 1st Boutique River Cruise Ship
British cruise line Holidays announced plans to launch a newbuild river cruise ship to sail on European rivers in spring 2021.The new ship will be built by Vahali, a Dutch-founded company which has been building rivers ships since 1923. Cruise: Saga Newbuild Arrives at Home Port
Kent-based Saga sails into its future, as the first of two new boutique cruise ships, Spirit of Discovery, arrived at her home port of Dover for the first time. Saga Cruises Orders New Ships
Saga Cruises has placed an order for a new cruise ship to be built by Meyer Werft in Germany with the delivery date of Summer 2019. The deal comes with an option for a second new ship to be delivered in 2021. The 55,900 gross ton vessels will span approximately 234 metres in length and 30 metres in width. Carrying less than 1000 passengers, it will retain the intimacy and personal service for which we are renowned. There will also be single-sitting dining in a choice of speciality restaurants, a selection of bars, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, fabulous library, signature Britannia Lounge and much more – all with a fresh and contemporary twist on the traditions of classic Saga cruising.
