SCI Sets Its Sights on Scandinavia

Survival Craft Inspectorate (SCI), a global provider of emergency marine evacuation systems, has appointed two new distributors as the business targets growth opportunities in Scandinavia. SCI has agreed partnerships with Danish firms Hysafe and Hytek, both part of the Hytek Group. The companies will have sales and installation rights for SCI's Safelaunch lifeboat release and retrieval systems (LRRS), which comply with the latest Solas MSC.1 / Circ 1392 guidelines. This latest agreement follows similar SCI announcements of partnerships in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Greece.

Survival Craft Appoints Dutch Partners

Survival Craft Inspectorate, a global provider of emergency marine evacuation systems, has appointed two distributors for the Dutch market as it eyes new growth opportunities. The business has agreed partnerships with North Sea Davit & Lifeboat Services BV at Nieuwegein, as well as Polyrep BV at Hellevoetsluis. Both companies will have sales and installation rights for the Aberdeen-based company's Safelaunch lifeboat release and retrieval systems, which comply with the latest Solas MSC.1 / Circ 1392 guidelines.

Weston Appointed Manager at Survival Craft

Survival Craft Inspectorate (SCI), a global provider of emergency marine systems and support services, said it has made a key appointment as it targets further growth in 2014. David Weston has been appointed training and competence operations manager at the business, which recently opened its 12th office in Rotterdam. As well as his company-wide auditing role, David – who served in the RAF for 22 years – heads up the new Survival Craft Inspectorate Training Academy in Stonehaven.

SCI Hires New Sales Head, Opens 12th Office

Survival Craft Inspectorate (SCI), a global provider of emergency marine evacuation systems, has made a new appointment and announced the opening of its 12th office. Jos Lems, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the maritime sector, has joined Survival Craft Inspectorate as Head of Global Sales. He will also lead the opening of the company’s new operation in Rotterdam, Holland. Survival Craft Inspectorate is on track to increase turnover for its year-end in 2014 to £30 million – a projected increase of 35% on its May 2013 figure. SCI Launches Liferaft Equipment Division

Survival Craft Inspectorate (SCI), a global provider of emergency marine evacuation systems, is to launch a new division at the Cruise Shipping Miami 2013 exhibition (March 11-14, 2013). The new division of SCI will supply, install and maintain emergency liferafts for the commercial cruise shipping and energy markets. SCI will initially open three offices in the United Kingdom with the first being at the company’s Findon operation. Initially 10 jobs will be created across the three new operations.

Survival Craft Inspectorate (SCI), a global provider of emergency marine evacuation systems, has delivered a fastrack safety refit for a global cruise shipping company. Survival Craft Invests & Expands in North America

Survival Craft Inspectorate, a global provider of emergency marine evacuation systems, has acquired an industry innovation widely used in the cruise ship industry and announced plans to open two new offices in North America. The energy sector specialist expects these latest developments to add £10m (US$ 15.8m) to its turnover in the next three years.
