ABS Nautical Systems Wins Two International Contracts

ABS Nautical Systems Nets Two New Clients. ABS Nautical Systems has signed a contract with Samson Maritime Ltd. for the use of its NS5 software. Located in Mumbai, Samson Maritime Ltd., owns and operates a fleet of offshore supply vessels, maintenance tugs and workboats. Samson Maritime Ltd. has chosen to implement the Maintenance & Repair, Hull Inspection and Drawings Management modules as offered through the ABS Newbuild Program, which provides these modules free for the first year to all ABS-classed vessels built before 1 January 2009.

Fremantle, Strategic Marine Build OSV

Two Western Australian companies have cooperated to set new design and construction standards for multi-million dollar high speed vessels built specifically for the Australian offshore market. Fremantle maritime support solutions company Samson Maritime ordered two 131.2 ft fast utility vessels from Henderson-based Strategic Marine last July, with the first of the vessels launched early this week at Strategic’s Singapore yard. Strategic Marine Sells Two Crewboats

Two more aluminum crew boats being constructed “on spec” by Australian shipbuilder Strategic Marine have been sold, indicating the company’s calculated decision to meet rising demand for offshore vessels in international shipping markets is paying dividends. The new order from Malaysian offshore servicing company Dinastia Jati Sdn Bhd, is for two 40m utility vessels which will be built at Strategic Marine’s yard. The crew boats, which have top speeds in excess of 25 knots, are scheduled for delivery in July and September next year. Strategic recently doubled the size and capacity of its yard to 2,400sqm to enable it to go ahead with the construction of six speculative 40m crew boats.

Strategic Marine to Build Eight Crewboats

Australian shipbuilder Strategic Marine is making the most of the current high demand for offshore vessels in international shipping markets by building eight aluminum crew boats on a speculative basis. In a move which is expected to boost its revenues by over $40m, the company will build six 40m vessels at its shipyard, and two 52m crew boats at its new Mexican yard at . Western Australian marine services company Samson Maritime has already ordered two of the new 40m crew boats after signing a contract worth $9.8m.
