Offshore Supply Vessel Market to Grow 6% by 2021

The global offshore supply vessel market is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 6.03 percent during 2016 – 2021, according to Azoth Analytics research report. TAMRF Extends Research Vessel Charter

Overseas Drilling Ltd., a 100 percent owned subsidiary of Siem Offshore Inc., and Texas A&M Research Foundation (TAMRF) have agreed to extend the charter of the scientific research drilling vessel JOIDES Resolution.   Under the agreement, TAMRF’s charter of the research vessel now runs through until September 30, 2019.   TAMRF also has options to extend the charter until September 30, 2023 on an annual basis.

Siem Offshore in New Offshore Well Intervention Vessels Deal

Siem Offshore Inc. say they have signed agreements with Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. to provide 2 well-intervention vessels which will be owned by Siem Offshore and chartered by Helix for an initial period of 7 years, with options that can extend the charter periods up to 22 years. The two vessels will be constructed at the Flensburger shipyard in Germany for Siem Offshore, and will be based on a design developed by Salt Ship Design. STX OSV Wins Contracts for Two OSCV

Siem Offshore declares contract options for STX OSV Holdings to design & construct two Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels (OSCV). The vessels will be equipped with a 250t AHC crane and with Launch and Recovery Systems (“LARS”) for Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles (“ROV”). Deliveries are scheduled from STX OSV Brattvaag in Norway in 2Q 2014 after the delivery of the hulls from STX OSV Tulcea in Romania. STX OSV already has two OSCVs under construction for the same customer in Norway, and two Platform Supply Vessels (“PSV”) in Brazil. Siem Offshore Inc. is an owner and operator of modern support vessels for the global oil and gas service industry. Siem Offshore Inc. currently has a fleet of 37 vessels in operation and 8 vessels under construction.

Offshore Construction Vessels Ordered from STX OSV

STX OSV Holdings Limited (“STX OSV”), one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels, announces that it has secured new contracts for the design and construction of two Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels (“OSCV”) for Siem Offshore in Norway. The vessels will be of STX OSV’s OSCV 11 design. The vessels will have an overall length of 121 meters, a beam of 22 meters and will be equipped with a 250t AHC crane. Deliveries are scheduled from STX OSV Brattvaag in Norway in 3Q and 4Q 2013.

Siem Acquires PSV Contract

Norwegian offshore vessels operator Siem Offshore Inc said that its 51%-owned subsidiary Siem Meling Offshore DA has agreed to acquire a platform supply vessel construction contract for NOK315m. The Vik-Sandvik VS 485 type vessel will be built at the Eidesvik shipyard in Norway, and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2009. Siem Offshore is headquartered in Kristiansand in Norway.

Siem Offshore Charters PSV

Siem Offshore Inc and Five Oceans Services GmbH have entered into a firm three year charter for the large-size PSV "Siem Carrier" for operation as a world-wide Cable Lay, ROV and Offshore Construction Support Vessel. The contract will commence in fourth quarter 2007. The commercial terms of the contract are confidential between the parties. Siem Offshore Inc expects to invest $6 million in upgrade of the vessel prior to commencement of the contract.

Aker Yards to Build PSV

Aker Yards has confirmed an optional agreement with Siem Offshore Inc for the building of two Platform Supply Vessels. The value of the contract is approximately NOK 275 million. Delivery is scheduled for second quarter 2007 from Aker Yards, Aukra. The vessels are of Vik Sandvik design, VS 470 Mk II. The vessels will be equipped with dynamic positioning, special product tanks, azimuth thrusters and accommodation for 34 persons.
