Rushton Gregory Inks iNavX Marketing Deal

Rushton Gregory Communications, a marketing communications agency specializing in the marine, outdoor, automotive and consumer electronics markets, announced today the latest addition to its industry-leading client roster, NavX Studios. Based in San Francisco, NavX Studios recently acquired iNavX, a pioneering mobile Marine navigation application. iNavX is developed specifically for mobile devices running iOS. With the iNavX app, users can purchase and display charts and navigation data from a number of the industry’s leading providers including Explorer, Navionics, NOAA, Theyr and X-Traverse. Eniram One Of The European Cleantech Companies Of The Decade

Eniram Limited, the fast-growinginnish provider of energy management technology and data analytic services to the shipping industry, today announced that it had been named by Cleantech Group (CTG), developer of the i3 market intelligence platform, as one of CTG’s five picks as a European Cleantech Company of the Decade. This one-off award was made in connection with the 10th anniversary Cleantech Forum Europe, held in Stockholm this year. The award was made in Stockholm’s City Hall, the venue of the annual Nobel Prize ceremony.

New Mobile App for Pressure Equipment Manufacturers

Lloyd’s Register launched an all-new mobile application for the Pressure Equipment Directive (EU directive 97/23/EC). The new Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) Category Selection calculator app will provide manufacturers with instant access to customized information about the EU directive. The app also helps facilitate engineering calculations with graphical illustrations to better understand how to obtain CE marking for their products. With the choice of four languages - English, Dutch, Spanish and Mandarin - the app makes the EC directive information accessible to a global audience. “Navigating the PED process can be confusing for global manufacturers,” said Pascal Coudeville, SVP of Lloyd’s Register’s Inspection business.

Nominees For CITIS 2002 Awards Announced

Providers in the communications and IT in shipping sector have been short-listed for innovation honors in the CITIS 2002 Awards. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner during the sixth CITIS event -hosted and sponsored by Inmarsat in London from March 18-22 - which also features a conference, seminars and an exhibition. The dinner will take place on March 19 at the Underglobe in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. In addition to awards in four commercial categories, International Maritime Organization secretary general William O’Neil is to receive a lifetime achievement award for steering the introduction of the Global Maritime Distress & Safety System.
