Navig8 Adds New LR1 Tanker

Navig8 Product Tankers Inc. an international shipping company focused on the transportation of petroleum products, today announced that it has taken delivery of the Navig8 Precision a 74,000 DWT LR1 tanker from SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (“SPP”). The Navig8 Precision is the third of four vessels contracted at SPP to be delivered to the Company and is the first vessel to be delivered under the secured loan facility entered into with ABN AMRO BANK N.V., Singapore Branch announced on July 19, 2016. The Navig8 Precision will be entered into and operated in Navig8 Group’s LR8 commercial pool. The Company has taken delivery of eleven LR1 and ten LR2 product tanker newbuildings to date and anticipates delivery of its full 27 eco‐design product tanker newbuilding fleet by the end of 2016.

Navig8 Acquires Second Tanker from SPP

Navig8 Product Tankers Inc. today announced that it has taken delivery of the Navig8 Providence, a 74,000 DWT LR1 tanker from SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (“SPP”). The Navig8 Providence is the second of four vessels contracted at SPP to be delivered to the Company and is the second vessel to be delivered under the sale and leaseback agreements entered into with CMB Financial Leasing Co., Ltd (“CMBFL”) announced on March 17, 2016. Following delivery of the Navig8 Providence by SPP to CMBFL under the terms of the assigned shipbuilding contract, the Navig8 Providence was then delivered back to the Company under bareboat charter. The Navig8 Providence will be entered into and operated in Navig8 Group’s LR8 commercial pool.

Latest Deliveries Complete Ardmore Newbuild Program

Ardmore Shipping Corporation has taken delivery of two product and chemical tanker newbuildings, the Ardmore Chippewa and Ardmore Seahawk, signaling the completion of its initial newbuild program. The last of four vessels constructed at the Fukuoka Shipbuilding Co., Ltd shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan, and delivered to Ardmore in 2015, the Ardmore Chippewa is a 25,233 deadweight metric ton, Eco-design IMO 2 product and chemical tanker delivered November 13. Scorpio Tankers to Acquire Product Tanker

Scorpio Tankers Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase an MR product tanker. The Company reached an agreement with an unrelated third party to purchase an MR product tanker that was built in 2014 at SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. of South Korea for approximately $37.1 million. The vessel is expected to be delivered in August 2015.

Ardmore Shipping Takes Tanker Delivery

Ardmore Shipping Corporation took delivery of the newbuild product and chemical tanker vessel Ardmore Seafox on June 25, 2015, the company announced today. The 49,999 dwt, Eco-design IMO 3 tanker was built at Korea's SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd Sacheon Shipyard and is the second in a series of four SPP newbuilds scheduled to be delivered to Ardmore in 2015, following the delivery of sister ship Ardmore Sealion on May 26. The addition of Ardmore Seafox increases the number of Ardmore vessels on the water to 20 with a total tonnage of 819,519 DWT.

Scorpio Tankers on Major Fleet Expansion

Scorpio Tankers Inc. (NYSE: STNG) (the "Company") announced today that it has reached an agreement with an unrelated third party to purchase an MR product tanker that is currently under construction at SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. of South Korea ("SPP"). The purchase price of the vessel is $37.1 million with delivery expected in September 2014. Scorpio Tankers says it recorded a gain of US$51-million from the sale of the 7 VLCC newbuilding contracts announced earlier. In March 2014, the Company received the proceeds from the sale of the seven VLCC newbuilding contracts and recorded a gain of $51 million in the first quarter of 2014. reported that the sale agreement of STI Spirit is expected to be finalized before the end of April 2014. At the end of March 2014, the Company informs that it took delivery of STI Texas City, an MR product tanker newbuilding from SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

Ireland's Ardmore Continues Tankship Fleet Expansion

Ardmore Shipping Corporation says it has taken delivery of the newbuilding product & chemical tanker 'Ardmore Seavantage' and also of the 2006-built 'Ardmore Seamariner' as it continues its fleet expansion programme. Cork, Ireland-based Ardmore informs it has taken delivery of the Ardmore Seavantage, a 49,999 Dwt IMO 3 Eco-design MR product and chemical tanker built at SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in South Korea. Following delivery, the Ardmore Seavantage commenced operating under an existing charter arrangement with the Vitol Group.

Ardmore Announces H1, Q2 Results

Ardmore Shipping Corporation announced results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2013. The company raised $140 million of gross proceeds in its initial public offering (IPO) of common stock, par value $0.01, which closed on August 6, 2013. In connection with its IPO, the company listed its common stock on the  New York Stock Exchange and trading commenced on August 1, 2013. Signed contracts for the construction of ten newbuildings at yards in South Korea and Japan which are expected to be delivered in 2014 and 2015 for a total of $319.8 million, increasing the Ardmore fleet to 20 ships consisting of eight vessels in operation and 12 vessels on order.

Ardmore Shipping Orders Product Tankships

Ireland's Ardmore Shipping Corporation (NYSE: ASC) say they have begun the execution of their product and chemical tankship fleet explansion plan. The company has put the plan into effect by exercising options on a further two 50,300-dwt IMO 3 eco-design product tankers ordered from SPP Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, South Korea. (“SPP”). This extends the series from SPP to a total of eight new ships with deliveries beginning in January 2014. The two-ship package has a cost of approximately $68,500,000 inclusive of ballast water treatment systems.

Scorpio Tankers Continue Spending Spree

Scorpio Tankers Inc. announces 16 newbuilding agreements and US$ 525-million in commitments to its 2013 Credit Facility. The company has reached agreements with five shipyards in Korea to construct 16 newbuilding vessels consisting of eight LR2, four MR, and four Handymax ice class-1A product tankers. In addition, the Company announced that syndication of the Company's previously announced $267 million Credit Facility has been heavily over-subscribed resulting in an increase of the overall commitments received from new and existing financial institutions to US$ 525-million.

Scorpio Tankers Ink Six Newbuilding Contracts

Scorpio Tankers exercise options with Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dockard for altogether six new tankships. The contracts are for the construction of four MR Product tankers for approximately $33.0 million each and two Handymax ice class-1A (37,000 DWT) product tankers for approximately $31.25 million each. The MR Product tankers were previously reserved for another owner, and two of these vessels will deliver in the second quarter of 2014 with the third and fourth vessels to be delivered in the third and fourth quarter of 2014, respectively.

Scorpio Tankers Inc executes options with Korean shipyards Hyundai Mipo Dockyard & signs intent with SPP Shipbuilding Co. Two MR product tankships are to be built by Hyundai Mipo anf four with SPP Shipbuilding. The six newbuildings are scheduled to be delivered to Scorpio in the second and third quarters of 2014. The Company also has fixed-price options to construct eight additional MR product tankers. The contract price for each of the newbuildings and fixed-price options is approximately $33.0 million.

TOP Tankers Order for Handymax Product / Chemical Tankers

TOP Tankers Inc, has entered into an agreement with SPP Shipbuilding Co, Ltd of the Republic of Korea for the construction of four 50,000 dwt Product / Chemical tankers. The vessels will be delivered during the first and second quarters of 2009. The Company also has the option to order two additional tankers with the same specifications and delivery period. The total investment for the Company (excluding the option) will be approximately $190.9 million, which will be funded with secured credit lines and working capital. The Company also announced that it has amicably agreed with Glencore for the earlier redelivery of three 154,970 dwt Suezmax tankers, the M/T Flawless, the M/T Timeless and the M/T Stopless, all built in 1991 by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co of the Republic of Korea.
