MOL Acquires Stake in AKOFS of Norway

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL)  announced that MOL and Mitsui & Co have entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire shares in AKOFS Offshore AS, which is owned by Akastor ASA, Norway. After in-kind contribution of the company of owner and leasing the subsea support vessel, Skandi Santos, which MOL, Mitsui & Co., and AKOFS are jointly operating since November 2016, MOL's acquisition amount will be about JPY 8 billion. MOL's acquisition of shares in AKOFS means MOL will become more deeply involved in the operation and ship management of subsea support vessels, marking its full-scale move into this field. AKOFS currently operates three subsea support vessels.

Reach Subsea Bags Statoil Contract

Norway-based Reach Subsea has been awarded a Frame Agreement for Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) services to Statoil Petroleum.The frame agreement has a duration of five years, and commences in 2019.Commercial terms under the agreement are confidential between the parties. However, the frame agreement is call-off based, which means that Statoil can award contracts for IMR services in the North Sea on an as needed basis.Reach Subsea CEO Jostein Alendal said, “We are proud to be awarded the IMR Frame Agreement with Statoil, which is of significant strategic importance and improves visibility for our service offerings for the next five years.

Transocean Gets Statoil Contracts

Transocean announced  that the harsh environment semisubmersible Transocean Spitsbergen was awarded a 22-well contract with an estimated duration of 33 months; plus two one-well options in the Norwegian North Sea with Statoil Petroleum ASA. The estimated firm backlog associated with the contract is approximately $286 million, which excludes opportunities for performance incentives. Statoil Inks Subsea pacts with Duo

Statoil Petroleum AS has signed Master Service Agreements with Aker Solutions ASA and OneSubsea Processing AS. The agreements signed form the basis for potential new EPC contracts (engineering, procurement and construction) for subsea equipment in the medium term future. An EPC option agreement for subsea production system (SPS) has also been signed with OneSubsea, including framework agreements for subsea operations services and subsea add-ons. Last year Statoil also signed a Master Service Agreement and an EPC contract including options for EPC project with FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS for Johan Sverdrup. “In light of the current challenges the industry is facing the suppliers have demonstrated commitment and drive to break the cost curve and enhance competitiveness.

EMGS - New Contract in the Norwegian Sea

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) announced an agreement from Statoil Petroleum AS for the Norwegian Sea. EMGS has now received a new contract from another oil and gas company worth USD 1.0 million for acquisition of 3D EM data in the nearby area.   The Company will be using the vessel Atlantic Guardian. Acquisition is scheduled to be completed early in October, after which the vessel is scheduled to go directly into a 6 week yard stay. EMGS - Agreement with Statoil for the Norwegian Sea

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has received a supplement agreement from Statoil Petroleum AS worth approximately USD 1.0 million for multi-client 3D EM data acquisition in the Norwegian Sea.   The Company expects to commence the survey shortly, after completing the survey for Statoil announced on 2 June 2014 in the same area, using the vessel Atlantic Guardian.

Rosneft & Statoil to Explore Norwegian Continental Shelf

18th of August, Rosneft together with Norwegian company Statoil Petroleum AS started exploration operations at the Pingvin License PL713prospect in the Norwegian section of the Barents Sea. The first exploration well Pingvin-1 will be drilled by the Transocean Spitsbergen rig. The water depth is 422 meters and the drilling target total vertical depth (TVD) is 1516 meters. The companies expect to analyse the drilling results until the end of 2014. RN Nordic Oil AS is partner in the licence (PL713) with Statoil (that is the operator), North Energy ASA and Edison International Norway Branch. RN Nordic Oil AS, a subsidiary of Rosneft, will be involved in the operations on the project.

Award For EMGS From Statoil for Norwegian Sea Data

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS), electromagnetic (EM) technology market leader, has received a Letter of Award from Statoil Petroleum AS worth USD 5.3 million for 3D EM data acquisition in the Norwegian Sea. EMGS, uses its proprietary EM technology to support oil and gas companies in their search for offshore hydrocarbons. EMGS supports each stage in the workflow, from survey design and data acquisition to processing and interpretation. Kongsberg Selected for Sverdrup Field Development

Kongsberg Maritime AS has been awarded a Project Specific Agreement including FEED for delivery of Safety and Automation (SAS) systems to the four Johan Sverdrup field platforms by Statoil Petroleum AS. The Project Specific Agreement includes an option for delivery of Safety and Automation Equipment including detail engineering services and commissioning services. Dockwise Liftboats to Transport New Statoil Offshore Rigs

Dockwise, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) inform it has been awarded a contract by Statoil Petroleum AS for the transportation of two very large new jack-up drilling rigs from Korean shipbuilders to the North Sea, said to be the largest and heaviest jack-up rigs ever to be transported on a heavy marine transport vessel. The two rigs are on order with a South Korean yard and are scheduled to be transported to Norway between the second half 2016 and the second half 2017.

GE to Provide Equipment, Services for Statoil’s Gina Krog Platform

GE Oil & Gas was awarded a contract to provide Korean shipbuilding firm Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) with turbomachinery equipment and services for a new oil and gas production platform being built to support the production activities of Statoil Petroleum AS and its partners Total S.A. and Det Norske in the Gina Krog field in the Norwegian North Sea. Gina Krog (previously known as Dagny) is located 30 kilometers (km) northwest of the Sleipner field and approximately 250 km southwest of Stavanger, Norway. The development of Gina Krog will be among Statoil's major new developments with an estimated 225 million barrels of oil and gas. For the project, GE is supplying DSME with an integrated topside turbomachinery solution featuring products from several GE businesses.

DOF Subsea Enters Contract with Statoil for Mooring Installation

Norwegian-based subsea service company DOF Subsea Norway AS has secured a contract with Statoil Petroleum AS for Mooring Installation Services utilising DOF Subsea’s support vessel the Skandi Skolten. The scope of work is to change out mooring segments on the Njord B FSU and Norne FPSO installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea whilst these are in production.  The offshore operations part of the project will commence in Q3 2013 and will last for approximately 40 days.

Statoil Petroleum grants Eidesvik Offshore ASA a 2-year extension charter for the LNG fuelled Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) 'Viking Energy'. DOF Subsea Norway Wins Statoil Contract

DOF Subsea Norway won a contract with Statoil Petroleum AS for the Tordis Flex Jumper Replacement – Marine Operations part of the Tordis Flex Jumper Replacement Project. The contract is for removal of flexible flowline ends, installation of seven new flexible flowlines, installation of two new umbilicals, tie-in, testing, RFO and survey. The work will be carried out at the Tordis Field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The offshore operations part of the project will commence late summer 2013 and will last for approximately 2 months utilizing two vessels from DOF Subsea’s modern fleet of construction vessels. The engineering will commence imminently in DOF Subsea’s office in Bergen.

Solstad Gets Three PSV Charter Agreements

Total E&P UK Limited and Elf Exploration UK Limited have signed agreements for hire of the platform supply vessels (PSV) “Normand Aurora”. The duration of the contract is firm for 5 years with further 2 x 1 year options. EDT Offshore Egypt S.A.E has signed for hire of  Stand-By vessel “Normand Draupne ”. The duration of the contract is firm for 1 year with further 1 year option with commencement April 2012. Finally, Statoil Petroleum AS has hired the platform supply vessel (PSV) “Normand Corona”.

Aker Solutions Contract for Gudrun Tie-In

Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions the Sleipner Modifications Portfolio Agreement and the first project-specific agreements for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) for the Gudrun tie-in to Sleipner in the North Sea. The order is worth approximately $148.9m and replaces the letter of intent announced July 14. "We are pleased to win the portfolio agreement for modifications in the Sleipner area and we are looking forward to take on the Gudrun tie-in work for Statoil and its partners. This order confirms Aker Solutions' leading position within advanced and complex modifications in the North Sea," said Stian Vemmestad, president for maintenance, modifications and operations in Aker Solutions.
