Ocean Installer Wins First Contract in China

Ocean Installer has been awarded a contract for 3rd Party Verification and Engineering Support work for the Liuhua 29-1 Gas Field Development located in the South China Sea.The work scope encompasses 3rd party verification of detailed design and subsea construction engineering, as well as various other support functions to the client’s engineering team.This is the company’s first job in China, and Ocean Installer will conduct the work as a subcontractor to COOEC Subsea Technology Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the deepwater SURF (Structures, Umbilicals, Risers, Flowlines) EPCI scope towards end-client Husky Oil China Ltd. Ocean Installer Gets Two SURF Contracts From Statoil

Norway's Ocean Installer has secured two subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) contracts with Statoil for work on several fields offshore Norway. The subsea company has secured two contracts, comprising work from 2018 through 2020 on the Snorre, Troll, Njord, Åsgard, Bauge, Fenja and Dvalin fields, said a press statement. The first contract is for Subsea Lines Modification (SLM) work, with offshore activities containing complex riser change-out operations, set to commence in Q2 of 2018. "We continue to build on the excellent working relationship we have with Statoil. Our track record has proven that we are capable of delivering efficient subsea solutions, especially handling complex installations.

Statoil Exercises Ocean Installer Option at Vigdis

Ocean Installer will undertake flexible jumper replacement operations for Norwegian operator Statoil at the Vigdis field, says a statement from the company. Ocean Installer  will see it perform subsea work. The company said the option falls under an amendment to the previously awarded SMLP Marine Installation contract which was signed in December last year and covered riser replacement operations at the Troll C field. The SLMP amendment was signed in December 2015 and covers the replacement of a flexible jumper at the Vigdis field as well as project management, engineering and marine operations. Ocean Installer Awarded Statoil North Sea Work

Ocean Installer has been awarded North Sea umbilical installation and riser replacement contracts from Statoil, the company announced yesterday. The Norwegian subsea contractor signed amendments with Statoil for umbilical marine installation at the North Sea's Visund field and for riser replacement at the Troll B field. The work will be executed under the SLMP Marine Installation Contract. Ocean Installer will utilize the large construction support vessel (CSV), Normand Vision, as the installation vessel for both projects. The water depth in both areas is approximately 330m.

Norway-based company Ocean Installer has been awarded a SURF (Subsea structures, Umbilicals, Risers, Flowlines) contract for subsea lines modification work at several Statoil operated fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The total contract value (firm) is approx. USD 55 million and with an additional potential (options) of approx. USD 95 million. The work scope comprises marine operations for replacement/installation of flexible risers, flowlines, jumpers, structures, and umbilicals, including all associated tie-in activities.

Statoil Awards SURF Contract to Ocean Installer

Ocean Installer has been awarded a SURF (subsea structures, umbilicals, risers and flowlines) contract for subsea lines modification work at several Statoil operated fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The total contract value (firm) is approximately $55 million with an additional potential (options) of approximately $95 million. This marks Ocean Installer’s second contract with Statoil within the last six months, Steinar Riise, CEO of Ocean Installer, said. The work scope comprises marine operations for replacement/installation of flexible risers, flowlines, jumpers, structures, and umbilicals, including all associated tie-in activities. Work locations are offshore installations at Statoil operated fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Subsea North Sea Pipelay Alliance Agreed

Ocean Installer & leading offshore engineering & construction company McDermott establish alliance to meet rigid pipelay needs in the North Sea subsea market. The alliance marks McDermott’s re-entry into the North Sea and establishes Ocean Installer as a tier one North Sea contractor by adding rigid pipelay to the company’s capabilities. McDermott continues to expand its subsea resources including a growing fleet of rigid-pipelay vessels such as the highly advanced Lay Vessel North Ocean 105, its sister ship Lay Vessel 108 (expected to be available mid-2014), and recently announced new-build deepwater combination S-Lay vessel with a 2000-ton crane DLV 2000, (expected to be available in 2015).

Ocean Installer Expands in Stavanger

The Norwegian subsea entrepreneur Ocean Installer is moving into new headquarters in Stavanger to accommodate for the strong growth the company has experienced over the last year. This expansion of our Stavanger base shows that we are developing in line with our long-term growth strategy. Ocean Installer Completes Offshore Job in Balder Field

Ocean Installer has successfully completed survey and intervention work at the Balder field, as contracted by ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Norway AS (“ExxonMobil”). The work was performed in May 2012, according to schedule and in line with Ocean Installer’s quality and HSE standards and requirements. The conducted work encompassed inspection and maintenance of the subsea control system at the Balder field, Ocean Installer making use of the long term chartered vessel “Normand Clipper”. This job was the first project to be executed from “Normand Clipper” under the Ocean Installer charter, as well as Ocean Installer’s first offshore job in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

Ocean Installer, Solstad Order Subsea Vessel

Ocean Installer and Solstad Offshore ordered a large, advanced construction support vessel (CSV). The vessel will be delivered in Q2 2014 and is to be operated by Ocean Installer. The contract is subject to GIEK (“Garanti-instituttet for eksportkreditt”) board approval (June 20th 2012). The vessel, of type OSCV 06L, has been designed by shipbuilder STX OSV and Solstad, in close cooperation with Ocean Installer. This combination has resulted in one of the most advanced CSVs built to date. The vessel is equipped with a 3000t carousel, a 400t active heave compensated (AHC) crane and launching systems for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) (LARS). The vessel will be delivered with a 150t Vertical Lay Spread System (VLS) priced at 200 million NOK.
