Stolt-Nielsen, Trafigura Partners in Bitumen Terminal

Trafigura Beheer BV, an  international commodities trading and logistics company, has announced that it has joined forces with the global bulk-liquid transportation, storage and distribution services firm, Stolt-Nielsen Limited, to develop a new bitumen distribution centre at Stolthaven Terminals’ Dagenham site, east of London. Stolthaven Terminals Finalizes Joint-Venture Agreement

Stolt-Nielsen S.A. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Stolthaven Terminals BV (Stolthaven), signed a partnership agreement with CITIC Daxie Development Co. in Ningbo, China to establish a joint venture to design, construct, own and operate a state-of-the-art chemical and oil products terminal on Daxie Island, China. Stolthaven and CITIC Daxie Development Co. will each own 50% of the newly formed joint venture company, Stolthaven Ningbo, Ltd. The initial phase of development is anticipated to include the construction of 23 storage tanks, with a total capacity of 204,000 cubic meters at a total estimated investment of $44 million. Stolthaven's share of the initial investment is $22 million. The terminal is expected to be operational in 2008.

Stolt-Nielsen and Oiltanking Announce Joint Venture

Stolt-Nielsen announced an agreement in principle between Stolthaven Terminals BV, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SNSA, and Oiltanking GmbH whereby Stolthaven Terminals BV will acquire a 50% interest in Oiltanking Antwerp N.V. for a total consideration of approximately $64 million, which is paid partly in cash and partly by assumption of outstanding debts. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval and will be retroactive to January 1, 2006.
