Transborders Signs up MOL on FLNG Solution

Perth-based company Transborders Energy has entered a Joint Study Agreement (JSA) to work with Japan's Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) to together continue the development of its Floating LNG (FLNG) Solution and to pursue its deployment on a range of stranded offshore gas resource opportunities.Transborders’ FLNG Solution provides a pre-determined 1.3 MTPA FLNG development concept with a package of streamlined commercial & regulatory approval framework (including LNG buyers) to gas resource owners. Japanese, Australian Firms Join for FLNG Project

Australia's Transborders Energy  announce it has entered into a Joint Study Agreement with Japanese utility  Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. and its affiliate Kyushu Electric Australia Pty Ltd (Kyushu). Changing the Landscape of LNG Production

Successful completion of the Petronas Floating LNG facility (PFLNG) Satu is a milestone for the oil and gas industry and for the Malaysian energy giant. Designed by consortium leader TechnipFMC and fabricated at the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering yard in South Korea, PFLNG Satu achieved the first-ever production of LNG offshore in December 2016. Hyundai Heavy Develops FLNG Model

Hyundai FLNG Model

Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world’s biggest shipbuilder and offshore facilities contractor announced today that the Company completed developing its own Hyundai FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Plant) model in association with Linde AG, an international industrial gases and engineering company of Germany. The Hyundai FLNG has an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons of LNG and can store about 193,800 m3 LNG with its compact size of 355 m in length, 70 m width and 35 m in height.

SBM Enters JV with Linde

According to reports, SBM Offshore said it expects the first sale of its Liquified Natural Gas offshore production facility, called LNG FPSO, within 18 months, and also announced a development partnership with Germany's Linde AG. SBM said it now considers the LNG FPSO ready for marketing and added that it can now establish the cost and delivery time of each unit. The LNG FPSO is an offshore liquefied natural gas production facility that allows the development of stranded offshore gas fields as it produces, liquefies and stores gas. SBM said capital expenditures on each unit is $2b. To shorten the design and delivery cycle time of the LNG FPSO, SBM said it decided to form a partnership with Linde.

Meet the ULFPS

While seeking to consolidate its existing LNG carrier workload by bidding for new tonnage to serve the Qatari export traffic and other projects, Spanish shipbuilder IZAR has intensified its research endeavors so as to create a broader business platform in the energy market. The group has thrown its weight behind a new initiative aimed at developing floating plant incorporating gas-to-liquids (GTL) technology to extract and convert gas from remote offshore fields into premium grade liquid products. The joint industry research and development project, known as Seagas, draws in IZAR Fene Shipyard (the former Astano establishment), Bermuda-based engineering corporation Foster Wheeler, and other partners from various disciplines.
