Subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has recently commenced work with Maersk Oil UK on a multimillion pound contract that will see Bibby Offshore provide subsea construction and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services to all of Maersk’s North Sea assets. Dive Support Vessel (DSV) Bibby Sapphire will undertake the offshore execution work, and an extensive engineering project management team based onshore will support this. “We have successfully completed contracts for Maersk Oil in the past and we are delighted to continue our working relationship.

Bibby Remote Intervention Limited (BRIL), part of Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor, Bibby Offshore, has further expanded its fleet by signing a charter agreement for an IRM (Inspection Repair and Maintenance) light construction vessel and adding an additional two ROVs (Remote Operating Vehicles) to its operations. The charter agreement with Olympic Shipping is for a newly built MT6021 vessel for a three year period, with options to extend for an additional two years. The vessel will be mobilized with ROVs from BRIL and is expected to arrive in Aberdeen in early April next year.

Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has invested close to £30million in the past six months increasing its international fleet of subsea support vessels by 40%. Most recently, the company signed a contract to charter EDT Jane, a newbuild remotely operated vehicle support vessel (ROVSV). The company now boasts a fleet of eight vessels and 15 Remote Operating Vehicles (ROV). This dedicated ROVSV with full survey and inspection spread will be mobilized from April 2014 as part of a 180 day charter,  with options to extend for an additional three years.

Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has signed a charter agreement for construction support vessel (CSV), the Olympic ARES. The agreement with Olympic Shipping will initially be a seasonal charter beginning at the end of Q1 2014 with options to extend. The vessel will be mobilized with ROVs from Bibby Offshore’s sister company Bibby Remote Intervention Limited and the companies together with Olympic Shipping shall jointly market the vessel from when it arrives in Aberdeen this month.

As part of its continuing global growth strategy, subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has announced the opening of a new division and international base in Houston. The company, that also has bases in Aberdeen, Liverpool, Singapore and Trinidad, has initially invested over £3million into the new division, Bibby Subsea Inc. As part of the expansion plan, Andrew Duncan will relocate to Houston, from his existing position of business and commercial director at the company’s Aberdeen HQ, to president and managing director of Bibby Subsea.

Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has appointed Nicky Etherson as its new commercial director to help facilitate the company’s ambitious growth plans. Ms. Etherson joins the business with almost 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, having previously held the position of head of contracts for Total E&P UK Limited. Here she was responsible for managing all aspects of the contracts function, supported by a team of 15 personnel, covering a range of services including; drilling, well control, subsea support, logistics and topside operations.

Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has secured a contract extension worth in excess of £100 million,with Talisman Sinopec Energy UK. A further three years with a one year extension option has been signed, making this the longest fixed term contract to be secured by Bibby Offshore. The new purpose-built headquarters for subsea installation contractor, Bibby Offshore is entering its final phase of construction. The new 53,427 sq. ft. office facility at Prospect Park, Westhill, which represents a multi-million pound investment, is on track to be completed by April 2013. Bibby Offshore staff are due to relocate from its existing offices at Waterloo Quay to the new premises by the end of May 2013. A planning application has also been submitted for a new warehouse workshop and yard on Peregrine Road, Westhill.

Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has announced investment of around £11million in Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems for its latest division, Bibby Remote Intervention Limited (BRIL). Subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has announced a three-year bareboat charter agreement with Solstad Offshore Asia Pacific Ltd. for the NOR Spring, a  DP2 (Dynamic Positioning) Anchor Handling Support Vessel (AHSV). Bibby Offshore Launches Graduate Training Scheme. Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has recently welcomed its first six graduates onto the Bibby Offshore Academy Graduate Training Scheme. Bibby Offshore Academy was launched last year to address the training needs of potential future employees and for the management and development of current staff. Six graduates were recently enrolled on the graduate scheme and plans are already in place for a further intake in September this year.
