Swiber to Fly Mexican Flag on 4 More OSVs

Singapore-based Swiber informs it will hoist the Mexican flag on another four vessels in its fleet, comprising one derrick pipelay barge and three anchor handling tug / supply vessels (AHTs). Five vessels were deployed in Mexico three years ago when Swiber landed its first contract win in Latin America, with the construction of a 77 kilometer-long submarine pipeline project in Mexico for Pemex. Swiber has since actively performed a number of major offshore construction projects in the region, and gained a reputation for its commitment to excellence, competitiveness and safety. Today, Swiber has established strong presence in Mexico, which serves as the Group’s platform to further expand into the Latin America region.

Singapore's Kreuz Holdings Wins Sub-sea Contract

Kreuz Holdings Ltd. The work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2012 for a duration of approximately three months, with option for further extension. Mr Kurush Contractor, Executive Director and CEO of Kreuz, said: “We are pleased to win this third-party Southeast Asian project with our recently acquired construction class diving support vessel. Kreuz Holdings is a subsea solutions provider for the oil and gas industry. The Group’s origin can be traced to July 2008 with the establishment of Kreuz Subsea Pte. Ltd. as the subsea services division of the Swiber Group. The Group provides quality performance and cost effective subsea solutions, through main contractors, to end-customers who are generally major oil and gas companies.

Swiber First to Use Enginei in Asia

Swiber becomes first Asia operator to save costs with Enginei Fuel Management System. The Swiber Group company, Newcruz Offshore Marine Services, has become the first in the Asian market to take advantage of the cost benefits of the enginei fuel management system from Royston Limited. The system was sold by Royston’s Singapore agent, Can Traders, and was installed aboard Swiber’s new offshore support vessel, the Swiber Carina. It is being used to provide real time fuel consumption details on board and simultaneously in the head office.
