Marine Lubricants Market to Reach USD 3.3 Bln by 2024

Dellner to Launch New Braking System at SMM

International brake supplier Dellner Brakes AB said it will launch new range of ‘plug and play’ electrohydraulic braking systems at this year’s SMM in Hamburg.The new BUEL STL systems provide a compact, self-contained solution for stopping, turning and locking ship propeller shafts on vessels of all sizes, as well as for industrial applications. Rosneft Produced 1st Lot of Fischer Tropsch Synthesis Catalysts

Rosneft has proved its leadership in national GTL (gas-to-liquid) technologies development. First pilot batches of Fischer Tropsch synthesis catalysts have been produced at Angarsk catalyst and organic synthesis plant. Today Angarsk plant is the first Russian enterprise capable of producing such catalysts on a commercial scale. The implementation of FT synthesis catalysts production national technologies has been performed as part of Program of the Company’s innovation development by scientists of RN-RDC corporate scientific center, a resident of Skolkovo foundation. The catalysts produced provide natural and oil-dissolved gas to be processed into synthetic hydrocarbons. They were tested in laboratory and have already proved its high performance properties.

New Gasoline Engines from Volvo Penta

Volvo Penta is developing the power output of its marine gasoline engines with up to an additional 20 hp. With power ratings of up to 320 hp, the upgraded gasoline engines become faster and more reliable - while at the same time beginning this year they are being delivered in the classic Volvo Penta red color. Most of Volvo Penta's 6- and 8-cylinder gasoline engines are being further developed for the 2002 model year, which results in substantial power increases for most of the product program. In conjunction with the introduction of the upgraded engines in the market this autumn, the designations are also being changed. The new designation for the Gi engines will be GXi and the GS engines will be GL.
