Rolls-Royce, MAN Partner on Fleet Management Platform

Andreas Schell, CEO of Rolls-Royce business unit Power Systems, and Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of MAN Energy Solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on mýa, the open asset-and-fleet-management-system enabling the integration of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), asset owner and operator data across the marine, power and energy industries, among others.Lauber said, “I’m very happy that a major player such as Rolls-Royce has chosen to join the mýa organization and to support the platform’s development.

ABS: New Technology to Support Drilling Riser Programs

As I waited for my daughter’s decision regarding the peanuts she was contemplating, an Economist magazine headline grabbed my attention: Why Computers Will Never be Safe. We were in one of those unexceptional airport newsstands waiting for our flight, returning to reality from vacation, and the subject was cyber security. Nominations Sought For Clean Air Awards

SAN PEDRO, Calif. — May 4, 2011 — The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are seeking nominations for the Fourth Annual San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP) Air Quality Awards. The awards program provides the ports with an opportunity to recognize the exemplary efforts of port operators who go beyond the requirements of the CAAP. CA – Ballast Water Mngmt Testing

Zaloom Joins Sea Tow
