Indonesia Shipyard Offshore Rig: Jacking Trial Successful

Teras Offshore, along with Global Maritime & ASL Shipyard in Batam, Indonesia announce the completion of full height jacking trials of the 'Teras Sunrise'. The Teras Sunrise is the second 'Service Jack' design developed by Global Maritime, a jack-up construction vessel with a payload of up to 7,200 tonnes, outfitted with four jack-up legs for jacking operations in the North Sea in up to 80m water depth. She has accommodation for 160 persons with the option to increase to 260 using Pullman berths.

Teras Sunrise Passes Jacking Trials

Teras Offshore, along with Global Maritime and ASL Shipyard in Batam, Indonesia announced the completion of full height jacking trials of the Teras Sunrise. The trials were completed on February 7 and mark another successful milestone in the Teras Sunrise reactivation project. The Teras Sunrise is the second "Service Jack" design developed by Global Maritime. The vessel is a jack-up construction vessel with a payload of up to 7,200 metric tons, outfitted with four jack-up legs for jacking operations in the North Sea in up to 80m water depth.

Cheoy Lee AHTS Handed Over to Teras Offshore

Hong Kong's Cheoy Lee Shipyard has handed over the second in a series of five 50m Towing/Anchor Handling Tugs for Teras Offshore in Singapore. The new AHTS Teras Bethel sailed directly to Batam in Indonesia (dodging a typhoon) where she will enter service. Prior to departure, the vessel and crew were blessed by the reverend Stephen Miller of the Mariners’ Club in Hong Kong. GEOSHIPS to Operate, Manage New DP1 Craft

GEOSHIPS creates 40 new jobs with delivery of latest vessel. GEOSHIPS Group, a marine and subsea services provider, has completed charter party negotiations with Singapore based Teras Offshore, for a new Offshore Deck Cargo Vessel, resulting in the planned recruitment of a further 40 offshore staff. Formed in 2003, Westhill-based GEOSHIPS will operate, manage and crew the DP1 (dynamic positioning) Loch Seaforth vessel, which has been contracted on a three year bareboat charter, with options to extend.

Largest Berg Azimuth Thruster for Asian Order

Berg Propulsion has secured the first Asian reference for its Berg Azimuth Thruster (BAT), launched earlier this year, in what is also the first order to involve the product’s installation by a Chinese yard. Berg has signed a contract with Singaporean oil and gas field support and logistics contractor Teras Offshore to deliver its largest BAT units to date, in the shape of two 2,500 Kw (1,600 rpm) output BAT 730 units, as well as two BTT 519 tunnel thrusters. Berg Propulsion Singapore Production Facilities will deliver all units in August 2010 to CCCC Bomesc Marine Industry Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China), for installation on board a 13,000 dwt deck cargo vessel, to work in combination with electric motors.
