Terex to Automate Ports of Auckland's Straddle Carrier Fleet

Terex Port Solutions (TPS) is for the first time automating a straddle carrier fleet for Ports of Auckland Ltd. (POAL) from New Zealand. By mid-2019, TPS will supply a total of 27 new, fully automated N SC 644 E (1-over-3) machines to work in the container stackyard and to serve trucks. At the same time, 21 existing manual straddle carriers are being upgraded so that they can work hand in hand with the 27 fully automated machines. In addition to the supply and upgrade of the vehicles, the order also includes all sub-systems and software systems required for operation. Before POAL placed the order, TPS verified the feasibility and safety of the concept in a detailed study. 900,000 TEU to 1.6 to 1.7 million TEU.

Terex Cranes for Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals

Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has received orders from Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals Pte Ltd (BMCT), a wholly owned subsidiary of PSA International Pte Ltd (PSA) to supply various types of Terex stacking cranes. The orders include eighteen Terex rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTG) and four Terex rail-mounted gantry cranes (RMG). The RTG order also includes an option on 18 additional units. The flexible, productive and environmentally friendly machines will be handed over in three batches of six units each of RTGs between September and November 2017 whilst the RMG cranes will be delivered to Mumbai in September 2017. The RMGs will be utilized in BMCT’s railyard, which can handle double stack container trains of up to 1.5 km long.

Terex Cranes for ICTSI

Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has received an order from a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in Iraq for two Terex shiptoshore cranes (STS) and three Terex rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTG). With this order including comprehensive services, TPS and ICTSI, a leading global port operator, are writing the next chapter in the history of their successful cooperation. Previously TPS has supplied 24 RTG to three different terminals operated by ICTSI in Madagascar, the Philippines and Brazil. The new cranes are destined for the Basra Gateway Terminal in the port of Umm Qasr and will be handed over to ICTSI for commercial operation in the second quarter of 2016. country.

Terex Port Solutions at Sugarloaf Mountain

Terex Port Solutions (TPS) will supply Libra Terminais Rio S/A (Libra) with 12 Terex® rubber-tyred gantry cranes. They are to be delivered in the fall of 2014 to the Libra terminal in the Bay of Rio de Janeiro. The company operates ports in Rio and Santos and ispart of the Libra Group, a leading Brazilian logistics corporation. The cranes will be shipped to Rio, already assembled, from the TPS plant in Xiamen, PR China. TPS’ Brazilian distributor, Terminal Full Dealer (TFD), who facilitated the order, will be responsible for unloading, commissioning and hand-over on site. Pedestal Crane Barge for New York Power Authority

When the wicked winter weather begins to blow off Lake Erie, a shipbuilder and a crane company in Cleveland, Ohio, and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) will be glad they cooperatively commissioned and built a barge-mounted pedestal crane for the Lake Erie-Niagara River Ice Boom Operations in Buffalo, N.Y., to help reduce potential damage to hydroelectric power plants caused by Lake Erie’s inevitable ice. The NYPA asked Great Lakes Shipyard, a member of The Great Lakes Group in Cleveland, to fabricate and deliver a new 80-foot by 34-foot pedestal crane barge for the ice boom operation.
