VARD SeaQ Bridge gets Lilaas touch

Functionally and ergonomically, the pad-like âleversâ integrated in the SeaQ Propulsion Control fit perfectly in the hand and provide customizable haptic feedback. âBelow the plateâ, the unique man-machine interface in enabled by technology from Lilaas, which has adapted its breakthrough LO1 control technology to deliver the advanced touch sensitive functionality required. VARD says that its objective has been to deliver controls that report high-level data instantly, âreducing the userâs cognitive loadâ to enhance performance in high-pressure situations.
Lilaas: High Design in Vessel Control
At the SMM 2012 exhibition in Hamburg, Lilaas debuted a family of innovative new marine control devices; innovation leveraging the storied companyâs in-house software solutions and packaged in an elegant yet functional design. The marine industry has many with small, innovative family owned companies, and it is no coincidence that more than a few hail from Norway. Lilaas is a leading supplier of control levers and joysticks for the shipping industry, a family-owned Norwegian venture that unveiled two new product series: a new range of electronic levers and an improved joystick.
Lilaas Sets Service and Distribution Deals in Asia
Marine and offshore controls specialist Lilaas AS has reached its first direct service and distribution agreements in Asia, as part of its strategic plan to support increasing demand for its levers and joysticks. The company, which develops and manufactures all its products in the heart of Norwayâs marine electronics industry, in Horten, has come to a service partnership and agency agreement with Z-Power Automation, Singapore, and a separate distribution deal with Shanghai EJH Group, Shanghai.
Vogelmann Promoted at Hatteland Display
Hatteland Display, made several sales level appointments. Goetz Vogelmann, a Hatteland Display employee for the past six years, was appointed as Sales Director Commercial. Vogelmann joined Hatteland Display after five years at LCD manufacturer, Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe. Knut Vidar Lauritsen, President of Hatteland Display, will also take on a Business Development role. Terje Akerholt, formerly Director of Sales, Commercial Division, was appointed as Sales Manager Commercial. Akerholt joined Hatteland Display in September 2007.
