Wärtsilä Signs Five-year Vessel Maintenance Deal with Abu Dhabi's NPCC

Finland-based marine technology company Wärtsilä has signed a five-year vessel maintenance deal with Abu Dhabi-based firm National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC).Wärtsilä said that the agreement covered seven vessels in the NPCC fleet and was designed to maximize operational uptime."It will also provide flexibility in maintenance scheduling, which will ease chartering arrangements, while providing long-term cost predictability," Wärtsilä said.NPCC is an engineering, procurement…

Boskalis Wins Abu Dhabi Dredging Contract

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has won a contract from the National Petroleum Construction Company of Abu Dhabi, UAE for dredging work related to the installation of an offshore gas pipeline of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company as well as to an existing offshore gas pipeline. Boskalis will dredge a more than 50-kilometre-long trench between Das Island and Ras Al Qila in onshore Abu Dhabi for the new pipeline installation. Dredging work is scheduled to commence in phases from this quarter onwards and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2017. A medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredger and a large cutter suction dredger will be deployed as well as backhoe dredgers for dredging in shallow water. Following installation, the pipeline will be backfilled.

Wärtsilä Wins Jack-up Barges Contract

Two new jack-up barges ordered by the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), based in the United Arab Emirates, will feature fully integrated Wärtsilä power generation and electrical and automation (E&A) solutions. The SEP 650 and SEP 750 vessels are being built at the Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) shipyard in Chang Xing Island, China. The contract with Wärtsilä was signed in December 2014. For each vessel Wärtsilä will supply three 8-cylinder Wärtsilä 20 generating sets, an emergency generating set and the full E&A system.

Canbank Venture Acquires Stakes in Anand Teknow Aids Engineering

Canbank Venture Capital Fund Limited (CVCFL) has picked up approx 5% minority Equity stake in Anand Teknow Aids Engineering India Ltd, a Rs 300 crore closely held Public Limited company manufacturing hi-tech, engineering products for the Oil & Gas sector in India & Gulf. CVCFL has invested Rs 16 crore which will be utilized by the company for expansion of its ball valve plant at Talawade near Pune in India. Anand Teknow (ATAEI) has established itself as a leading engineering company in the last 4 to 5 years specifically in the field of manufacture & supply of Ball Valves to Oil & Gas sector. According to Sri S Thiruvadi, Managing Director-CVCFL, “The company’s products are well received in the market and we foresee substantial growth in Anand Teknow’s business in the years to come.

Unique System Wins Two-year NPCC Contract

Unique System FZE, a Unique Maritime Group company, an integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solutions provider, has been awarded a two-year service contract by The National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC). Established in April 1973, the NPCC is a construction company which provides clients total engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services in the development of offshore and onshore oil and gas fields for the Arabian Gulf and the regional markets. Over the years Unique System FZE has been supporting NPCC offshore operation with a wide range of survey equipments.

Abu Dhabi Contract for Technip-NPCC Consortium

Technip-NPCC Consortium awarded Important contract for the Upper Zakum Field in Abu Dhabi. Technip in a consortium with National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), has been awarded by Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) a lump sum engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up contract for the Upper Zakum 750K Project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The field is located in the Gulf, 84 kilometers offshore Abu Dhabi. It is divided into four production artificial islands (Central, North, South, and West), with processing facilities at the Central Complex. •    Almost 30,000 tons of offshore structures (jackets, riser platforms, flare towers and bridges), including approximately 3,000 tons of islands modules and bridges.

Strong Start to 2012 for HB Rentals

HB Rentals, global offshore accommodation specialist to the oil and gas industry, has signed three new agreements in the Middle East since the turn of the year. The combined value of the contracts is over $1 million. A leading provider of lift boats, Hercules Offshore, has awarded HB Rentals a six- to 12-month contract for its Amber Jack self-propelled jack-up barge. The deal will see the company provide four, eight-man accommodation modules, including service provision from installation to power generation and sewerage system.

ADNL, NPCC Ink $110m Vessel Deal

The Abu Dhabi National Leasing Company (ADNL) has signed a $110m deal with the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) for financing the construction and lease of its new vessel. Keppel FELS $110M Contract

Keppel FELS Ltd (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation Ltd, has secured a contract to build a KFELS B Class jackup valued at US$110 million for Gulf Drilling International Limited (GDI), Qatar’s first national drilling company. The jackup, GULF-4, well suited in the Arabian Gulf and Indian waters, will be built to Keppel FELS’ proprietary design. It will be capable of operating in 300 feet water depth, drilling down to 30,000 feet and accommodating 110 men.

Amclyde Wins Contracts

FGH Engineered Products Group, the equipment segment of Friede Goldman Halter, Inc., announced that its AmClyde unit has signed new contracts in excess of $13.5 million with customers in Freeport, Texas and Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. "AmClyde is very pleased to receive these key orders from our long-standing customer NPCC (National Petroleum Construction Company) of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and our new customer Cabett Subsea Products, Inc. of Houston, Texas," said Dick Juelich, AmClyde President. AmClyde has a contract with NPCC to provide a significant operating increase of the lifting capacity and reach for their 2000-ton model 76 marine crane, originally built in 1973.
