ZF Marine opens Technical Training Center
ZF Marine LLC, the North American subsidiary of ZF Marine Group in Padova, opened its new , located at ZF Marine's new North American headquarters facility in Miramar, FL. It is designed to provide ZF Marine’s authorized North and Central American service partners with comprehensive training modules on all of ZF Marine’s family of products. “Expanding our training capabilities was one of the priorities when we were building our new headquarters facility. Our rapidly expanding product offering combined with the ongoing expansion of our independent service network made sending factory training personnel into the field inefficient,” said Tim McFarland Aftermarket Segment Manager.
ZF Marine Names New Segment Manger
ZF Marine has appointed Tim McFarland as Aftermarket Segment Manager. McFarland joined ZF Marine LLC in 1997 as an Inside Technical Representative and most recently was Senior Aftermarket Center Manager. In his new position McFarland will have full responsibility for ZF Marine LLC’s parts and service business in North and Central America, and the . He will also oversee the operation of ZF Marine LLC’s nine wholly owned service facilities that provide ZF component factory support for vessel operators throughout the , including and . McFarland replaces Gary Nelson, who will retire from ZF Marine LLC at the end of 2008. Currently based at ZF Marine’s , , service facility, McFarland will relocate to the headquarters.
