Wärtsilä Sim Software for Dutch Training

Software solutions from Wärtsilä have been selected for installation in three maritime training centers in The Netherlands.The turnkey systems is designed to allow training to commence immediately following the site acceptance. The systems have been ordered by the Rotterdam based STC Group, an international maritime transport and logistics education provider. The order with Wärtsilä was booked in April 2019.The Wärtsilä Navi-Trainer Professional (NTPRO) 5000 software will enable the teaching of the latest approaches to navigation…

Weeks Marine Selects SeaStar

Weeks Marine has selected Seaworthy Systems SeaStarTM Maintenance Management System for its towing fleet. Seaworthy will deliver turnkey systems containing vessels equipment, customized maintenance plans, and inventory for 12 Tugs and associated barges. Additionally regulatory compliance and the responsible carrier program will be included. The system will also be installed shore side. System training will be provided by Seaworthy's marine engineers. Seaworthy has installed over 150 marine maintenance systems.

SBM Offshore Raises Net Income Expectations

SBM Offshore N.V. announced that it has raised its 2006 net income expectations from the $165m originally forecast in January of this year to $185m. • net interest expense will be lower than expected, mainly due to accelerated cashflow compared to budget, prepayment of certain project loans and negotiation of reduced margins on other facilities. The Company will provide a more detailed update of full year expectations at the time of publication of its half-year results.
