UltraStrip Selects Distributor in Texas and Louisiana for Patented Robotic System

UltraStrip Systems, Inc. announced that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Robotic Environmental Services, LLC (RES) of Baton Rouge, La. for the sale of UltraStrip’s patented robotic hydroblasting systems in Louisiana and Texas. This agreement represents UltraStrip’s entry into a new market and we are very excited to assist Robotic Environmental Services in its penetration of the above-ground storage tank coatings removal industry as well as the oil production facility and barge markets for coatings removal, according to Robert O. Baratta, President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of UltraStrip Systems. The distribution agreement is for a term of five years and establishes minimum purchasing requirements necessary to maintain RES’ exclusivity in the two states.

UltraStrip Japan Joint Venture Agreement Completed

UltraStrip Systems, Inc. announced that all documentation for its joint venture agreement with Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha, Ltd., Ihara Company, Ltd., Chiba Marine Yokohama Company, Ltd., Shuwa Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd., and Kamimura International Associates, LLC. has been completed. UltraStrip Japan, Ltd. will introduce UltraStrip’s patented, robotic M3500 water jetting system into the Japanese market. The M3500 is used for the surface preparation of metal surfaces, such as commercial and naval ship repair, storage, and fuel tanks. TRAILBLAZERS: Ultrastrip Helps Clear the Way

While convention holds that the most vital marine technological advances happen in or around the engine room and bridge, the business of coating and corrosion control - stripping, preparing and applying - arguably poses the most strenuous test the marine environment offers. It is a vessel's initial coating and maintenance thereafter that largely determines a vessel's lifecycle, thus its profitability. Coatings, much like mechanical systems, require constant attention to ensure that they are performing the duty required, namely maintaining the structural integrity of the steel beneath. That said, the last place a vessel owner want to see its vessel is in drydock, with a battalion of workers vigorously peeling, stripping and chipping away at a vessel's armor.

Metro Machine Agrees to Purchase UltraStrip

UltraStrip Systems, Inc. announced that Metro Machine Corp. of Norfolk, Va. has agreed to purchase a high production prototype UltraStrip robotic paint removal system for $2 million. Metro is developing a marine vessel enclosure, paint removal, and coating system, the Metro Ship Coating System, and will be evaluating the UltraStrip prototype for use in the Metro Ship Coating System. Dr. Robert O. Baratta, president and CEO of UltraStrip Systems said, "Metro plans to use the UltraStrip technology in its own shipyard and market the Metro Ship Coating System with the UltraStrip technology to other shipyards and ship repair companies.

UltraStrip, Lisnave and Tecor Sign Agreement

UltraStrip Systems, Inc., the developer of a robotic ship-hull cleaning equipment, agreed to a five year agreement with Tecor-Tecnologia Anticorrosao, S. A. to be the exclusive ultra high pressure water jetting contractor at the ship repair yard of Lisnave, Estaleiros Navais, S.A. in Portugal. Lisnave, established in 1937, is one of the largest and busiest heavy marine ship repair yards in the world. The agreement reflects the shipping industry’s growing concern for protecting the world’s oceans and waterways through technology that concurrently maximizes cost efficiencies. UltraStrip Signs Agreement with BAE Systems

UltraStrip Systems, Inc. announced the signing of a five year exclusive agreement with BAE Systems ship yard subsidiaries in San Francisco and San Diego to provide its patented robotic automated waterjetting technology equipment and services. UltraStrip's robotic technology will perform high speed coating removal services to the shipyard's customers, including U.S. Navy vessels, oil tankers, cruise ships, bulk carriers, and container ships. BAE Systems San Francisco and BAE Systems San Diego are subsidiaries of BAE Systems Ship Repair, Inc., a group of companies owned by U.K. based BAE Systems.

UltraStrip Completes Navy's New LPD 17 Vessel

UltraStrip Systems, Inc., the developer of robotic ship hull cleaning equipment, completed the surface preparation work on the Navy's new San Antonio class amphibious assault ship, LPD 17 on June 21, 2003, from which they expect to receive over $90,000. UltraStrip President and CEO, Robert O. Baratta, said, "UltraStrip is proud to assist the U.S. Navy in launching this exciting new warship that will help protect our troops and country in the coming years. UltraStrip's highly productive M3500 Robotic System allowed the Navy to have its surface preparation work completed simultaneously with other trades finishing their work. Normally, if the ship were being grit blasted, other trades would not have been able to work while the grit blasting was in progress.

Ultrastrip Issued Patent

US' UltraStrip Systems, the developer of robotic ship hull cleaning equipment, has announced that it has received from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office patent number US 6,564,815 titled "Air Gap Magnetic Mobile Robot". The new patent allows UltraStrip Systems to further expand its patented coatings removal systems. The advantages to the Air Gap patent over existing UltraStrip patented roller designs are greater adhesion and non-marring of the surface. President and CEO Dr. Robert O. Offshore: New Products at OTC

Sensotec's Model 424 & 425 Hammer Union pressure transmitter are rugged sensors designed specifically for use with 1502 and 2202, two-in. wing unions in the demanding environment of drilling installations. Typical high-pressure applications include mud logging, cementing, fracturing, acidizing, nitrogen pumping, and other upstream well servicing applications. The Model 425 is available in ranges from 0-5,000 to 15,000 psi. The Model 424 is available in ranges from 0-15,000 to 20,000 psi. Both the 425 and 424 deliver accuracy of 0.2% (BFSL). Standard output is 4-20 mA (2-wire) with a supply voltage of 9-28 VDC. Each unit is RFI / EMI protected. Operating temperature is from -45 to 200 degrees F. The "ESX" Power sections provide high torque at very low speed for mud motors.
