Lukoil Groundbreaking Ceremony at Rakushechnoye Field

Russia's Lukoil informed its President Vagit Alekperov, jointly with Head of the Astrakhan Region Sergey Morozov, took part in the official groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of infrastructure facilities of Rakushechnoye field.This is the Company's third large project in the Caspian Sea alongside with two other fields, Yury Korchagin and Vladimir Filanovsky.Commercial oil production, with an estimated plateau level of 1.2 million tonnes, is expected to commence in 2023.Proximity to the Сompany's other Caspian fields makes it possible to use already available power supply facilities and infrastructure for the treatment and shipping of the products…

Lukoil Predicts Similar 2016 Russian Output

Oil producer Lukoil aims to maintain output in Russia at this year's level of 86-87 million tonnes and to increase it by 1.5-2 million tonnes in 2017, its chief executive, Vagit Alekperov, said on Tuesday. Russia intends to provide further discounts on its Urals crude blend in order to defend its market share in Europe as other grades have been increasingly flowing into the region, a government source said on Nov. 21. "Price discounts depend on our relations with partners. We proceed from the premise of receiving a maximum price for our product," Alekperov told reporters, commenting on the source-based report.   Reporting by Natalia Chumakova

Arctic Oil Drilling – Russian Companies Hold Talks

Barents Observer reports that President of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov confirms that an official working group with representatives of both Rosneft and Lukoil is being established and that “several objects” will be discussed. Among the objects are highly promising field structures in the Barents Sea. Rosneft has offered both domestic Russian and foreign oil companies 33,3 percent stakes in 12 offshore fields. Among the fields mentioned are the Fedynskoye, Perseevskoye, Tsentralo-Barentsevskoye fields and the Admiralteyskaya and the Pakhtusovskaya structures. The Fedynskoye and the Tsentralo-Barentsevskoye fields were both included in the deal signed with Eni earlier this week.

Lukoil Expects Flat Exports

Russia's Lukoil expects its crude exports next year to stay at the expected 1999 level of 24 to 25 million tons. "If the rules do not change, we hope (to export) around 24 or 25 million tons, like this year," Vagit Alekperov told a news conference. Russia doubled its crude oil export tariff to 15 euros per ton from December 8 in line with rising world prices.
