Metso is strengthening its product offering by certifying valve products according to the latest widely accepted fire-safe standard - API 607 6th edition. The plan is to replace all former fire-safe certificates and to widen the range of Metso fire-safe certified products in order to better serve our customers' needs and requirements and to expand the applications for our product range. At present, the testing plan applies mainly to Neles ball valves - such as the new D1F-, D2- and X-series valves - as well as L6-butterfly valves and Finetrol-valves.

Wabtec Corporation (NYSE:WAB) introduced two new lines of brass ball valve products to serve a variety of industrial markets, including Oil and Gas, LP Gas and Chemical Manufacturing. For industrial markets, Wabtec now offers a robust valve that can withstand extreme temperature changes. The valve features a preloaded seat to extend valve life by keeping the ball seals pressed against the ball as the seals wear. These valves, which can also be refurbished with replacement kits, come in Full port, Conventional port, and UL Listed. They can be configured to fit custom applications. In addition, Wabtec offers an economy brass ball valve line to complement the premium line.

W&O Supply announces one new hire and two promotions to support the company’s growth. To provide management and leadership for the company’s mission critical services, W&O Supply has created a new department dubbed Shared Services. W&O Supply’s Shared Services department combines materials management, information technology, warehousing and logistics, enabling the company to improve communication and workflow between these services for its 13 locations across the U.S. John Kilbride has been promoted to Vice President of Shared Services and is responsible for the seamless integration and management of these services which are shared by all W&O Supply branches. Carl Herman has been promoted to Director of Materials Management and SPACE Valve Products.
