Atlantic Offshore Rescue Appoints UK Managing Director

Atlantic Offshore Rescue has appointed a new managing director for its U.K. division to lead the organization from its Aberdeen base. Matthew Gordon joined the company at the start of the year and replaces John Bryce, who is retiring but will continue to be involved in Atlantic Offshore Rescue in a consultancy capacity. Gordon’s previous roles include a general manager position within Viking Seatech and an eight-year employment span with Subsea 7 where his roles included account manager for key clients in the U.K., Dutch and Irish sectors; and regional manager for Veripos Division EAME region.

Veripos Positioning for MEO Fleet

Singapore-based Miclyn Express Offshore (MEO), a provider of offshore support vessels across Southeast Asia, Australia and the Middle East, has awarded Veripos a five-year contract for provision of high-precision GNSS positioning services in support of its fleet of 27 ships. New Allseas Positioning Contract for Veripos

Allseas, a  leader in offshore pipeline installation and subsea construction, has awarded Veripos a further three-year contract for continuing provision of specialist  GNSS positioning services for its entire fleet of vessels headed by the world's largest pipelaying vessel, the 300m Solitaire. Offshore Positioning Contract for VERIPOS

VERIPOS, wins a three-year contract from Neptune Marine Services (NMS) of Perth, Western Australia for its GPS augmentation service. The contract, which represents a continuation of a long-standing working relationship between the two companies, covers the provision of VERIPOS’s  Standard GPS augmentation service in addition to its Ultra and Apex2 precise point positioning facilities, the latter using both GPS and Glonass constellations. All three services will in turn be supported by VERIPOS’s Verify QC processing software for real-time and post-processing assessments of data. Neptune, one of Australia’s leading subsea engineering organisations, has additional bases in South East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

ER Offshore Extends its GNSS Contract with Veripos

Under the new arrangement VERIPOS will continue to supply nine of ER Offshore’s PSVs with its VERIPOS Standard high-precision augmentation service providing metre-level accuracies. A further two vessels will utilise its latest VERIPOS Standard service, which offers an additional Glonass capability. ER Offshore’s two 86-metre AHTS craft, ER Luisa and ER Vittoria will also utilise the VERIPOS Standard service. All ER Offshore’s 13 vessels, which are maintained and chartered for worldwide operations, are already permanently equipped with configurable VERIPOS LD2 integrated mobile units. These generate any proprietary positioning solutions in addition to outputting data and measurements to external processing or quality control software.

Veripos Extends NW European Positioning Service

Veripos has extended the North West European sector of its global multi-source network with the establishment of new reference station facilities at Hammerfest in northern Norway. The new station, part of Veripos’s worldwide network of over 80 similar reference facilities in support of dual-beam positional coverage via seven L-band satellites, has been introduced to meet growing exploration activities in both the Norwegian and Russian zones of the Barents Sea. Veripos Wins Norwegian Positioning Contract

Aberdeen-based Veripos, a world leader in the provision of GNSS positioning facilities to the offshore oil and gas industry, has been awarded a contract by Dolphin Geophysical AS of Bergen, the newly-formed Norwegian seismic exploration contractor, for the supply of services aboard its recently-commissioned 3D seismic vessel, Polar Duke. Bergen Oilfield Services Extends Veripos Contract

Veripos has been awarded an extension to its existing master services contract with Bergen Oilfield Services (BOS), one of Norway’s seismic survey contractors operating worldwide. The extended contract covers continuing supply of a range of positioning services and equipment for BOS’s three specialist seismic exploration vessels, BOS Angler, BOS Arctic and BOS Atlantic. Supported by Veripos GNSS positioning, BOS has recently completed a 10,000km 2D seismic data acquisition program offshore Guinea, northwest Africa on behalf of Hyperdynamics Corporation.  Meanwhile, the Norwegian company’s BOS Angler vessel is due to carry out major 3D surveys for ONGC and Cairn off the east and west coasts of India. Veripos Extends Network with Falklands

Veripos, a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning solutions to the offshore oil and gas industries, has extended its multi-source Differential GPS service for South Atlantic and Southern Ocean regions with the establishment of new reference station facilities in the Falkland Islands. The new station will help facilitate further positioning support for a range of offshore positioning and survey tasks by delivering augmentation on the 98W and AORW Inmarsat communications beams. Intermoor GNSS Equipent Order for Veripos

Veripos has received a major order for integrated mobile GNSS receiver equipment from the world’s largest full-service mooring company, InterMoor, an Acteon Company. Indonesian Offshore Contract for Veripos

Aberdeen-based Veripos has been awarded a major contract by PT Pageo Utama of Jakarta for provision of GNSS precise positioning facilities in support of two three-year regional survey and navigation service projects being carried out by the Indonesian company on behalf of BP West Java and CNOOC South East Sumatra. The contract for the two projects also covers supply by Veripos of integrated demodulator and GNSS receivers in addition to associated proprietary QC software to ensure seamless high-precision sub-metre positioning for survey and general offshore operations. Veripos Extends Positioning Networks

Worldwide GNSS positioning specialist Veripos of Aberdeen has further extended its North American and Far East multi-source regional networks with the establishment of new reference station facilities in Fairbanks, Alaska and Seoul, South Korea. Both stations have been commissioned in response to increased demand from leading operators of 3D seismic and survey vessels and their attendant requirement for seamless fully-redundant positioning support which also provides options for decimeter-level accuracies based on Veripos’ own Precise Point Positioning (PPP) solutions. Veripos Wins Major Offshore Contract

Veripos’ Houston-based Americas Region has been awarded major offshore positioning contracts by , LSP, Tidewater and WesternGeco for vessels operating in Brazilian, Mexican and US waters. The contracts also cover supply of proprietary integrated demodulator and GNSS receivers and associated software modules to ensure seamless high-precision sub-metre positioning for survey, construction support, seismic and general offshore operations. Facilities being provided to LSP for its well-testing vessel, Aires Swan, operating in Mexican waters on long-term contract to PEMEX include Veripos’ dual-beam Standard and Standard HF augmentation data services together with LD2 and LHD2 integrated demodulator and GNSS receivers.
