Atlantica Shipping Adds Fourth PSV to Fleet

Oslo-based offshore vessel owner Atlantica Shipping has taken delivery of its fourth platform supply vessel.The company said in a social media post that it had expanded its fleet with the 2005 built UT 755L Atlantica Server.The vessel, previously known as Energy Scout (according to the VesselsValue database), will be under technical management by Vestland Offshore.According to the vessel's AIS, the 71.9-meter-long platform supplier with a 693-square-meter deck is currently in Aberdeen.The Dina Scout, the Atlantica Provider, and the Atlantica Supplier are the other three offshore supply ships in Atlantica Shipping's fleet.2023 Outlook: The Offshore Service Vessel Market

Norside to Convert Platform Supplier into Offshore Wind W2W Vessel

Rem Offshore Clinches Platform Supply Vessel Deal

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Rem Offshore has said it has secured a new contract for the Rem Insula platform supply vessel.In a social media post on Tuesday, Rem Offshore said that the contract would take the offshore vessel through 2020 and into "smooth waters in 2021.""Thanks to our client for the contract award and greetings to the crew who have made this possible. Vestland Offshore to Manage Ocean Duke

Norwegian vessel owner Vestland Offshore announce that it has taken Management on yet another Vessel.The Ocean Duke is currently being converted to a Seismic Source Vessel and has a firm 2 year contract secured with SBGS.Last month, Vestland has won contracts for two of its offshore vessels, the Vestland Artemis and the Norsea Fighter.The Vestland Artemis has been awarded a 12 months contract with the UK-based oil company Enquest, commencing 1st of February 2019 in a direct continuation of the already long term operation with them.

Wärtsilä Ship Design for Offshore Wind Farm Service Vessels

Wärtsilä has been contracted to supply the ship design for the ‘Vestland Cygnus’, a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) owned by Norway based Norside AS that is to be converted to serve as an offshore wind farm service vessel. The conversion will take place at the Fjellstrand yard in Norway. The contract with Wärtsilä was signed in October. The re-design includes several new features, such as an accommodation module for 134 people, a 100 ton offshore crane with a range of 40 metres, and a new footpath system for transferring personnel to offshore fixtures. The vessel will have SPS (Special Purpose Ships) class notation. Following completion of the rebuild project, the ‘Vestland Cygnus’, will transport service personnel to and from wind farms.

Wärtsilä Supplies New Efficient PSV

The new VS 485 Mk III has outstanding performance in the areas of fuel-efficiency and safety.

The ship will be of the new VS 485 Mk III design and it will be one of the most cost and fuel-efficient supply vessels ever to be launched. Wärtsilä, the marine industry's leading solutions provider and system integrator, has been awarded the contract to supply the design and equipment for a new Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) for offshore operations. The order has been placed by Hellesøy Verft AS, the Norwegian shipyard that will build the vessel, which is to be owned and operated by Norwegian ship owner, Vestland Offshore. The vessel is scheduled to be delivered towards the end of 2012.
