International Group of P&I Clubs Publishes Sustainability Report

The International Group of Protection and Indemnity Clubs (IGP&I) has set out its Sustainability report and updated Correspondents Guidelines to the global network of Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Correspondents listed by its constituent Clubs during its 2022 Correspondents Conference in London, United Kingdom. Hoegh LNG Partners Appoints New CFO

The floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) company  Höegh LNG Holdings announced that Håvard Furu is appointed as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Höegh LNG AS effective 1 March 2019.The interim CFO, Steffen Føreid, will step down effective 1 March 2019 and will from then continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Höegh LNG Partners LP.Håvard Furu comes from the position as CFO of law firm Wikborg Rein. Wikborg Rein Adds London and Singapore Partners

Birgitte Karlsen becomes a partner in the firm’s London office, which she joined in 2011 after two years working as in-house counsel for offshore oil and gas technology specialist Aker Solutions in Norway. Prior to that, Birgitte had worked in the Oslo and Singapore offices of Wikborg Rein as a senior associate. Birgitte’s work in the offshore sector includes structuring international projects, general risk analysis and related project financing.

Wikborg Rein Recruits LNG Specialist

International law firm Wikborg Rein has recruited Joe McGladdery as a partner in its London office. McGladdery joins from Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) where he acted as the company's General Counsel and as a board member for a number of its subsidiary companies and joint ventures. He was responsible for developing Nakilat’s legal and insurance department and formed part of the senior management team which oversaw the expansion of the company into the world’s leading operator of LNG ships.

AKY Receives Mandatory Offer from STX

Reference is made to the announcement by STX concerning the mandatory offer for all issued shares in Aker Yards ASA at a price of NOK 63 per share. Aker Yards' Board of Directors has not been advised of the details of the bid prior to the launch of the offer to the market and the shareholders. The board will now carefully review the offer and in cooperation with its advisors , JP Morgan and Wikborg Rein evaluate the offer price and details. Aker Yards will move the presentation of its second quarter financial results forward from the original schedule 15 August to now being presented August 8, to provide shareholders with the most updated information on the company as a foundation for their evaluation of the offer from STX.
