Hong Kong–German shipbuilding company MV Werften announced that the 216 m long hull of the “Global Dream” arrive safely at its Wismar location after a nearly 50-mile tow.The midsection of the Global Dream, which was towed from Rostock-Warnemunde will be assembled and fitted out for Dream Cruises at Wismar facility.“We’re glad that the entire transport procedure – from undocking in Warnemünde to securing in the dock hall – proceeded so smoothly,” said Peter Fetten, CEO of Werften. “The haulage job was a milestone in the production plan. Ship Takes Shape at Nordic Yards
At Nordic Yards a 390-ton section of a new wind turbine service jack-up vessel was laid down in the Wismar dock today as scheduled, marking a milestone in the building of the 80 x 32 m ship. The vessel was ordered last year by the Danish company DBB Jack-Up Services for the purpose of servicing offshore wind farms.
