Gas Agility is the world largest LNG bunkering vessel with 18,600 cu. m. MARKIII-flex type membrane tanks built at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. in China. Alphatron Marine said it has acquired a new office and warehouse space in Zwijndrecht, Belgium to serve customers in Belgium and France. The new location – operational since September and officially opened on November 9, 2016 – replaces the company’s existing Meerdonk office. Alphatron Marine Belgium is part of a group of companies governed by Alphatron Marine. Together, they act as importer, producer, developer and service provider of navigation, communication and automation systems. Besides this, the company provides specialized IT solutions.

FLNG deal-making has been sporadic since Woodside Petroleum at the end of 2013 delayed a final investment decision for the giant Browse FLNG project off Northwest Australia. The previous year had seen go-aheads for most of the floating liquefied natural gas projects (FLNG) underway today, including Shell’s Prelude FLNG — Woodside’s choice, it seems, of a liquefaction solution for fields 200 kilometers offshore. Yet Prelude, “the first project out”, might not be first to produce.

Offshore Books $1M Of New Business with USCG

Offshore Systems International Ltd. has received orders from Marinette Marine Corp. Shipyard for ECPINS systems for USCG Sea Going Buoy Tender WLB hulls 6 and 7 with an option for an additional nine systems through the year 2003. In addition, Offshore's wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Offshore Systems International Inc., has been selected by the USCG and Bollinger Shipyard to provide the Yokogawa EML500HV1 Electromagnetic Speed Log for the new USCG Coastal Patrol Boat (CPB) Program. The company has received orders for the first 13 CPB ship sets with an option for an additional 37 CPB ship sets over the next two years. The total value of the committed business is approximately $1,000,000 with the potential for significant new orders based on the options under the two contracts.
