Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

October 9, 2012

Recently, MirTac added three offshore contractors to its Star user group: the Fugro Marine Services BV business unit in Brazil, Scaldis Antwerp and Holland Offshore. The Star fleet management software is used worldwide on rigs, subsea solutions, ships and maritime offices linking locations seamlessly.

Fugro Marine Services BV, already a MirTac customer for years, chose to also implement Star in her new office in Brazil and on the new-build Survey Vessel Fugro Brasilis. Fugro Marine Services primarily uses Star for maintenance and safety management, documentation, purchasing and spare parts management. Implementation for the Brazilian office and Fugro Brasilis has already started according to Maarten van Slobbe, Manager CMS at Fugro Marine Services B.V.

Scaldis is a brand-new customer and has selected MirTac after a thorough selection process with multiple suppliers. Jules Schelkens, Superintendent, says: “we were looking for an easy-to-use but complete software solution to meet our requirements for QHSE, Maintenance, Document and Purchase Management. With MirTac we will improve these processes and continue to comply with both our own and customer Quality standards”.

Holland Offshore recently released the new anchor handling towage supply vessel (AHTS) Dutch Blue. Holland Offshore, part of the Holland Shipyards Group, will deploy Dutch Blue worldwide and already has several projects at hand. Star IPS with Star Maintenance, Documents, Crew and Vessel Administration will support Rederij Kornet to optimally manage the vessel according to internal, ISM and customer regulations.

MirTac will be present at the Offshore Energy 2012 Exhibition at stand 405.
