Lloyd's Register's King to Retire

Lloyd’s Register announces the retirement of J. Rod King, Global Floating Offshore Installation (FOI) Business Manager. Mr. King has elected to take early retirement in mid-September 2007 to address family health issues. Lloyd’s Register North America FOI and Classification Manager, Keith Charles, will assume some of King’s previous activities until King’s replacement is named.

Lloyd’s Register continues to expand its Houston operations base to address the FOI classification and consultancy businesses in the Americas more fully, as well as to provide support for its Asia and EMEA regional offices. David Corbett, senior vice president of Lloyd’s Register North America’s Oil & Gas/ Asset Management business, said that during his tenure with Lloyd’s Register, King has made an immense contribution to the performance and leadership of the business.
