Alu Design Re-Launches Two Products

Alu Design & Services shakes up marine seating market, launching improved Alutech 400 and 500 products at reduced costs.

Alu Design & Services (Alu Design), a world leader in the innovative design and manufacture of advanced pilot chairs and deck rails, is re-launching two of its core product offerings with enhanced design and production standards. The result is an even better seating experience at costs of up to 20% less than previous models.

From today, the Alutech 400 and Alutech 500 are available in aluminum made from pressurized die-casting. This production technique greatly reduces the product weight, makes the 400 and 500 even more robust than their predecessors and, crucially, allows Alu to offer the chairs with a reduced price tag.

Alongside the increased strength and decreased weight and cost, the new Alutech 400 and 500 (the 500 has the same specifications, although it offers height adjustable armrests that can house joysticks) have user-focused design enhancements.

These include: new arm and footrests, increased operational functionality (such as easier seat height adjustment with a lever to operate the gas struts), clearer indications of the seat’s functions and adjustable nature, and a narrower overall chair width (to give more room between operational consoles).
