Salekhard hosted today an awarding ceremony of the winners of the Make the World Cleaner contest of children’s drawings and crafts, organized by the Directorate of the Federal Service for Supervision over Natural Resources Use for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area with the support of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.

The contest results in the Drawings and Crafts nominations were summed up in two age groups – from 5 to 9 years and from 10 to 17 years. Taking part in the contest were over 200 preschoolers and schoolchildren from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.

The aim of the contest was to draw children’s attention to the issues of environmental conservation, foster careful and thoughtful attitude to nature, form an environmentally conscious lifestyle and increase the level of environmental awareness.

Sergey Menshikov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym delivered a welcoming address at the awarding ceremony, “Environmental issues have always been a priority of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym. We pay special attention to environmental awareness. It’s so nice that the contest participants showed their creativity so splendidly. What is most important is that all the contesters were united by a common purpose – to preserve our northern nature.”

The best works submitted for the contest are displayed at the exhibition specially organized at the Shemanovsky Yamal-Nenets District Museum and Exhibition Complex.
