WinGD, Alfa Laval Team to Advance Ammonia-powered Engines
Alfa Laval and WinGD established a partnership in which Alfa Laval will deliver two fuel supply systems (FSS) for testing WinGD’s ammonia-fuelled engine in early 2024, a step in the development of ammonia as a future fuel for marine vessels.Alfa Laval will deliver the FSS for the injector test system and FSS for the engine test bench in early 2024. DNV Reports More New Fuel Car Carrier Orders
According to the latest figures from DNV's AFI platform, November saw eight new vessels with alternative fuel propulsion ordered. Among these, four were for LNG-powered ships, while the remaining four were methanol-powered. All eight orders were withing the RoRo and car carrier segment.So far this year, the platform has logged 268 new orders for alternative fuel vessels, including 112 LNG- and 152 methanol-powered ships.

Yara Clean Ammonia, North Sea Container Line, and Yara International have joined forces to realize the world's first container ship that will use clean ammonia as fuel.
