Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) specialist Dometic Marine has recently secured orders to supply its chilled water equipment to high performance tug builder Signet Maritime. As part of the new contract, Dometic Marine will supply its chillers on-board three  Signet 82 Metric Ton Bollard Pull Z-Drive tugs, to provide each vessel with 240,000 BTU (British Thermal Unit) or 20 tons of capacity.

"We require the highest quality and proven-reliable air conditioning to provide a comfortable and pleasant working environment for our crew members, as well as cool sensitive electronic equipment on-board," said Joseph W. Dahl, General Manager of New Construction for Signet Maritime. "Dometic Marine has proven to provide a wide range of HVAC solutions, which are further supported by exceptional technical expertise and customer service."

Currently in production at the Trinity Yachts shipyard in Gulfport, Mississippi, each Signet Maritime new build will take delivery and installation of two 120,000 BTU/10 ton chilled water systems. Dometic's chilled water equipment has been specifically designed and packaged to meet the requirements of each ultra high performance ASD and will provide cooling of the vessels' on-board spaces including crew living accommodation areas.
