Transas Marine USA has launched a new simulator service and development program, “TRANSERV”, with a comprehensive upgrade and support package provided to Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Delgado Community College become the first major marine training school in the USA to join the TRANSERV program. The Delgado full mission ship simulator has been fully upgraded with the very latest Navi-Trainer Professional 4000 simulation software and now boasts the latest Transas industry leading visualisation capabilities, as well as newly installed training tools for inland towboat and barge operations. As part of their ongoing marine program development, Delgado will also soon offer several new custom training solutions for the offshore industry that build upon the recently completed simulator enhancements. Gregg Ferrando, Technical Applications Manager at Transas Marine USA, who will lead the new program noted, “Our goals have always been to provide 100% customer satisfaction, service quality, and value for money to all users of Transas products. TRANSERV formalizes and enhances this approach into a comprehensive, yet flexible simulator upgrade and service program. With many advantages, the TRANSERV program allows our customers to predict and manage more effectively the budget for their simulator programs, whilst also ensuring that the simulator will continue operating at peak performance. It gives them the peace of mind of knowing that the system will remain at the leading edge of simulation technology and competitive in their training market for many years to come.” With a broad range of service and system development options available to customers under the ‘TRANSERV’ banner, Transas continues to set a new standard for service in simulation.
