Royal Caribbean's first Quantum Ultra class cruise ship, Spectrum of the Seas, currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg Germany, is another step closer to completion. The timelapse video shows the latest milestone in her unique building process: the ship’s two large megablocks being merged and fastened together.

Spectrum of the Seas will accommodating 4,246 guests at double occupancy and 1,551 international crew members, making it the largest and most expensive ship in Asia when she sails from Shanghai starting in June 2019.
